The villa was just as described! It was very beautiful and just like the pictures. Everything was lush, green, and alluring! I loved the pool and the outdoor areas. Eunice and Valentino were very responsive to questions and issues. Valentino recommended Oscar for all our transportation needs while we were in Costa Rica, and Oscar did not disappoint. Oscar helped me plan our trip and was very flexible with our needs. I would definitely stay at the villa again and use Oscar when we return to Costa Rica! Pura Vida!!!

I traveled with my kids ages 20, 18, 8, and 5. The house was equipped to entertain all the age groups. We had great time at night playing cards and the pool was excellent. The location was great quiet and safe and close to the city and the activities we chose to participate in. We will definitely return! Thank you Valentino!

My husband and I, along with our two adult sons and daughter in law spent 8 wonderful days at Villa Serenidad. The Villa was as described, beautiful scenery, great pool and home was spacious and very well appointed. Villa is a short drive to and from airport, an hour from the beach and just over 2.5 hours to La Fortuna. Very easy access to many locations, yet Villa is in a wonderful secluded and safe area. We were 10 minutes to town of Atena where there is a large variety of shopping, restaurants etc. We were delighted to be next door to a farmer where we purchased farm fresh eggs and chicken. In addition the lovely farmer’s wife also prepared a wonderful Costa Rican dinner on our last day. It was great to be able to enjoy our last day by the pool and not worry about cooking. Highly recommend this villa for a family get away.

If you ever wanted to stay in a glass house this is it! Waking up to a gorgeous mountainous view and one step outside you are at the pool. We had American Thanksgiving where the neighbor cooked for us and it was delicious! This house is for 8 people and the open floor plan is inviting and wonderful! I would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing such a great place!

We stay 2 1/2 weeks at Villa Serenidad and enjoyed the vacation with the complete family - 7 adults and 2 toddlers. We particularly liked the rural surroundings and the fantastic view of nature. The children had fun with the farm animals every day and we enjoyed the unusual visitors. We used the pool every day and it is ideal for children. In the village of Atenas there are numerous shopping opportunities and typical restaurants. The wealth of information in the Vills Serenidad manual was very helpful. Valentino was also available for us the whole time and we were happy to make use of his numerous contacts and information. Oscar in particular - driver and friend - helped us to discover Costa Rica's natural parks in a relaxed way on day trips. The vacation in the villa will remain unforgettable for us.

Happy days! Fiber internet has finally landed in our area. Out with the dish internet and in with the high speed fiber optic internet. A jump from 14 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Thanks to the crew at ICE for getting here less than 16 hours after we signed up! Wow!

They call it green season for a reason. A little rain and lots of sun and this 3' (1m) tall orange tree is already bearing its first fruit. It was just transplanted a few months ago!

Our visitor map! One of our most favorite things at Villa Serenidad. For the past couple of years we've asked our guests to add a pin from their home location. The yellow is magnificent when these trees bloom. It's said the flowers from the Cortez Amarillo tree (Tabebuia Chrysantha) signals the coming of the green season. Unfortunately the beautiful display only lasts a few days.

When visiting Villa Serenidad you can purchase farm fresh eggs, chicken and milk from our neighbor Ronnie and his wonderful family. We've received MANY compliments from our previous guests who have enjoyed the food. It's tastes fantastic, is inexpensive and is just a short walk away.

PS: Yes, lunch was 'fall off the bone' fantastic :)

Playa Blanca. Our favorite beach in the area due to it's fine white sand is harder to find than most. Without a direct parking lot it takes a short hike to get here but it's well worth it. We supply our guests with maps of the area to make it easy. It takes a little over an hour to get here.

Playa Mantas. A very cozy beach with a shallow swimming area. This beach is great for families with young ones as it's reasonably easy to access, not very busy and since it's more protected than most beaches the waves are smaller. From our door it's just a little over an hour drive and makes for a great half day or whole day trip. Detailed instructions available for our guests.

A few photos from the river walk at Villa Serenidad. The villa sits on top of a river valley with fantastic views over the river valley with Poas volcano in the distance. Walking down the path next to the house makes for a great morning stroll. The water level varies drastically from dry to wet season!

CROCODILES! The well known Tárcoles River near Tárcoles, Costa Rica is a place you're pretty much guaranteed to see crocodiles hanging out year round. Affectionately known as the "Crododile Bridge" for good reason. About a 35 minute drive from the villa.

More beautiful photos from La Paz Waterfall Gardens. The gardens make for a great trip even if you happen to visit on a rainy day. There are many indoor areas to check out and the outside paths are an easy walk even in the rain. Just remember to bring an umbrella.
