HAPPENING THIS WEEK! Come join us! The City of Reidsville is thrilled to announce the grand opening of our brand new all-inclusive park, Sky’s the Limit this Thursday June 29 , 2023 at 9:00 am. The park is located behind City Hall which is 230 W. Morehead St. There is parking on the lot in front of the park behind City Hall.

Go Adrian!!!

As we open our series celebrating Black History Month, we highlight Adrian Adams of Team USA Bobsled

Adams was born and raised in Reidsville. He graduated from Reidsville High School where he was a free safety, wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner, winning back to back state championships in 2002 and 2003. He was the defensive MVP of the 2003 championship game. Adams was selected to the all-county, all-conference, all-region and 2A all-state teams. He attended NC A&T State University (invited walk-on) 2004-2007. He also played a year at North Carolina Tech (post grad/junior college (2008). After graduation, Adams played with the AFL 2 Huntington Hammer (UIFL)(2011) of the Indoor Football League.

When football opportunities came to an end, he began doing strength and conditioning training. Adams got into bobsled by the way of his father, who competed in the late 90s to early 2000s.

As a member of the USA Bobsled Team, Adams has participated in both 2-man and 4-man, and he made history being part of of the first mixed-gender team— a female pilot and three men — for the 2014-2015 season.

Additionally, Adams had a Dreamcast Nintendo game based off the Winter Olympic games in Nagano, Japan.
