As some of you know we here at snow sports HQ are looking to grow our family and for the academic year 2019/20 we will be setting up a subcommittee and WE WANT YOU!

If you are passionate about the society, sessioning or just want to be more involved in the college scene this may be the role for you.

You don't have to be a pro skier or boarder, you don't even have to have stepped on a slope before.

We are looking for friendly outgoing students that are not afraid to get involved, work hard and most importantly are good fun

Responsibilities of the subcommittee

-Help out at clubs and socs

-Take responsibility for small number of assigned students on the trip
-Attend sub committee training days
-Get involved and have a laugh

❄ Seventh AGM position ❄

// AGM - Chair // Tuesday 9th - 6pm
We cannot believe the day has come when Snowsports has to say goodbye to our beloved and adored current Chair and Snowsports legend that is Addie Perry Lennon!

This girl has embodied Snowsports from when she was baptised as our ‘Fresher’ oh so many moons ago. Since then she has hustled (and flashed) her way to the top and will go down in history as a true leader (and the cute face) of all that is Snowsports DCU.

As chair, Addie oversaw the entire Snowsports operation and kept the team on track. Organising meetings, tracking timelines and negotiating contracts are all part of the Chairs arsenal. A tough job, this position requires a minimum of one year's experience on the Snowsports committee.

❄ Sixth AGM position ❄

// AGM – Secretary // Tuesday 9th - 6pm
Next on the list is Secretary, (essentially our Chair’s right-hand hoe) currently filled by our notorious Queen of Glitter Miss Eva Price (Art&Hobby sponsorship pending).

A work-hard/play hard combo, as secretary Eva recorded meetings, wrote our (hilarious) weekly emails, dealt with sponsorships, helped the Chair with trip preparations and directly on agency pitches and contracts, preps presentations, generally pulls the world back together when it is falling apart, and reminds the Chair to bring her ID on nights out.
A minimum of one year Snowsports Experience is required for this important role.

Eva has filled this role perfectly and has left some big (and soggy) shoes to be filled.
If you feel like you can live up to the glitter hype (good luck) and have the team player attitude we’re looking for then this role may be the one for you.

❄️Fifth AGM position❄️

// AGM - Treasurer // Tuesday 9th - 6pm
Treasurer is the next position up for grabs for the 2019 Snowsports committee! Jack Callaghan was our fund daddy this year, ensuring that our members had enough money to have fun and play in the snow with mates.
P.S. Although Jack has the outward appearance of an undercover Garda with a p***s shaved head, he emits nothing but Snowsports silliness that we all know and love. Previously (and forever) known as ‘Fresher’, this young boi won over our hearts in his first year and so he was more than fitting for the trusted role of Treasurer.

The main responsibilities of Treasurer include keeping our books in check, providing funds to subsidise Kilternan lessons, money for Transport to KT, Snowsports Merch, helping with contracts for the trip and let's not forget filling out the famous grant application at the start of the year in order to receive the funds to do all these wonderful snowy activities making events such as our trip as cheap as possible for our members.
One year (any) society committee experience required here. Having studied accounting modules will be of benefit but not essential.

Must be good with money, a familiar face among the Snowsports fam, have committee experience, be organised and capable of counting to at least 10.

❄️Forth AGM position ❄️

// AGM – Events Officer// Tuesday 9th – 6pm
Events Officer is the glorified term for our 'Sesh Gremlin with a purpose', currently run by our little Dublin-head hippie Cody Saunders.

If you can sniff out a good sesh-scene then this position might be the one for you. Don’t be fooled however by the flowing pitchers at SnowPong or the trippy tie-dye hippieness this position emits, as there’s lots of planning and organisational skills required for this hustling role. Being able to ‘adult’ is necessary for events to run smoothly and a good relationship with partner companies/venues is something you need to make happen. Enthusiasm and a go-getter attitude with an entrepreneurial head will help you fit this position nicely.

Previous event/organizational experience is a bonus but not a requirement -It is however now a legal requirement to obtain a Vagyeti should you be elected for events.

"If ye don't get the Yeti tattooed on yer vag and brand it a Vagyeti, then yer just not up for the cause d'ye know wah I mean'' -Cody Saunders 2019.

Finally, after all the managerial sweet-talking, event bookings and va**na tattooing are done, the next responsibility in this role is simply to keep the party, beer and bras flowing.
