Looks like Impending Cyclone Kirrily is sparing Palm Cove thank goodness as the towns up here do not need more devastation as they are getting back on their feet.
Time for me to fly home and let Cedar & Sea welcome its next guests 🌴✈️

Prepared for the next power outage, the torch just didnt do it last time at 3.30 am…….nearly fell down the stairs 🤣🤷‍♀️
So we now have a 100 hour lantern upstairs and downstairs. Yes I hear you saying it makes sense.

Keeping a close eye on the possible Qld cyclone ready to form over the weekend, modelling shows a possible QLD crossing down south of us.

Palm Cove is at breaking point, in 30 hours there will be no freshwater left.

Cedar & Sea as far as we know is ok but water levels are high so pretty sure we have lost the garden at the back of the pool, small price to pay when so many houses have been lost.

Our beautiful guests are battening down the hatches and preparing Cedar & Sea for the impending Cyclone Jasper. The house has been built to Cyclone standards with a solid concrete roof between upstairs and downstairs and is not in a Storm Surge area so our fingers are crossed for our Guests and our house.

Huge weekend for Palm Cove
Yearly Cairns Asia Pacific Iron Man 2023
Over 1000 participants from all over the world
Swim starts in Palm Cove then transition to bikes, ride almost up to Port Douglas then turn around and ride back to just out of Cairns then transition to run into Cairns.

Cedar & Sea is in a perfect position as the swim start and finish is at the bottom of our rd and the 1000 bikes pass our door before entering the highway.

So many people and bikes in town this morning, I will be up at 6am for the 6.30 swim start looking forward to watching everything Sunday.
