You know the feeling of not having anyone to travel with you? Either because you’re like me and your schedule is different than your traveling friends OR because you’re that person who friends say they’re going, but bail last minute!

Let me tell you something! Don’t let your friends prevent you from seeing the world. In 2015 I took a leap and traveled to South Africa to take a trip with a whole bunch of strangers. Yes strangers! I am huge introvert and was nervous until landing and taking an to meet them for dinner. Even then I was STILL nervous and so quiet (but I’ll blame the long day of traveling and just wanting to shower for that 😂).

I said all of that to say, had I not gone, then I wouldn’t have had one of the best Experiences of my life. I made life long friendships and a new travel squad. Hey y’all! So, I’m here to let you know that Group travel is an awesome experience. You will have a blast on top of making new friendships. It will allow you to get over the excuse, “but I don’t have anyone to go with me” Well now you don’t have to worry about that.

My first experience at the Museum of Illusions Had so much fun. However, here are 2 tips: go with more than 2 people for better photo opportunities and bring a tripod IF there’s only 2 of you. Oh extra note: make sure you have a photographer patient enough to get the best shots, unlike mine cough cough lol.

Travel Tip Tuesday. Flight attendants don’t get paid until the doors close. They also are like many professions who get paid very minimal. However, sometimes nice small acts of kindness will get you some perks you would never expect. For example, I got my travel partner a free upgrade, so many snacks, and 2500 miles.

I remember being in this same desert 5 years ago. Being tossed around in the 4 x 4 jeeps down the sand dunes. Screaming my head off when the camel dropped to his front knees on the way down to let us off. However, the experiences are never the same without your squad.
