Wanna see one of the largest suites at sea? At 2,130 square feet, this massive 3 bedroom/3.5 bath suite on Norwegian Cruise Line Joy overlooks both the front of the ship with a large wraparound balcony from the living room and master bedroom and a wall of windows overlooking the Haven observation lounge from the oversized dining room.

Listed as a category H2, this Haven Premier Owners Suite with large balcony was expanded after the Joy refurbishment adding a level of luxury for anyone who wants to stretch out into this incredible suite. The master bathroom is absolute opulence with a shower that has an oceanview.

We were lucky enough to be invited to see this gorgeous suite by a wonderful woman who was celebrating her 80th birthday with her family and friends. 🥰

Do not use the NEW Norwegian App. There is some kind of glitch that will inexplicably add the Prepaid Service Charges (when you haven’t requested to pay them yet) and in some cases change the price of already reserved and paid for Shore Excursions causing a BALANCE DUE on reservations that have already made their final payment - putting your reservation in jeopardy of cancellation.

The background story:

A couple of months ago after we announced the launch of the new app on our Facebook groups - I started noticing that prepaid tips were being added to my clients reservations, creating an AMOUNT DUE. So I would reach out to the client and ask if they wanted those on there right now. The response from every client that this happened to was “I was just reserving specialty dining - I’ll add the tips later”

So I quickly figured out it was the NEW NCL APP.

Since then I’ve had a dozen situations where I get an email from NCL saying a reservation is “Past Due” and immediately I see that it’s the prepaid surcharges that THE CLIENT NEVER ADDED. When I ask the client about it the answer has been “all I did was reserve dining” - and 💯 of the time it was on the NEW APP.

I’ve waited to see if this glitch would work itself out before I started sharing the info with you all. But this morning I was reviewing a reservation that had made final payment almost a month ago and there was an amount due. This time it not only added the prepaid service charges without the person’s knowledge it ALSO changed the price of their already paid shore excursions. Luckily I keep all confirmations and could immediately see what the change was.

Not everyone pays attention to emails - a balance due could threaten your reservation to be canceled.

Keep using the old app until the glitch goes away.

The sun is setting on our final day onboard Norwegian Cruise Line Joy. It’s become cooler and windy as we get closer to Miami. We’ve been pampered the entire week and tomorrow is going to be hard to go back to the world where the butler isn’t going to be delivering us snacks, the concierge isn’t taking us down a side crew door to bypass the lines and our bar waiter isn’t bringing us drinks to our sun chairs. 😢 Until next time Norwegian…see ya in January!

The sun keeps following us from port to port - today we went to Mr Sancho's Cozumel Beach Club - an all inclusive beach club in Cozumel. Great service and beautiful beach - we will definitely be back in January.
