of all sorts ranging from wedding stationery sets, planners and pregnancy journals to home décor pieces suitable for framing. Before Little Chiqui Paperie had its name it was simply my creative outlet, a place for me to craft and design. It was my bedroom, my craft room and my dining room table. I am obsessed with all things paper – patterned paper, brown paper, wrapping paper, lined paper, plain paper and so on and so on. I am addicted to buying stationary (in particular journals) and buy way too much of it. My obsession for stationary started before I can even recall. I can’t remember a time in my life where I was obsessing over pens, pencils, note pads etc. My favourite time of year was the end of summer holidays – just because I could go stationary shopping. My obsession for paper crafts started in 2005 when I shared my dream to create handmade cards with my cousin and her husband whilst on a shopping trip to Ashford Outlet Centre. Shortly after this shopping trip, I gave myself a budget of £60 to buy some materials and tools to get started. Very quickly this too became an obsession. At first I started making cards for friends and family and soon (to my surprise) people were placing orders. Fast forward 8 years to 2013 and my £60 worth of material s and tools had turned into my spare room being filled with enough stock to replicate a small craft shop. My dream was much bigger and wilder than I ever imagined. Not only was I making cards but also scrapbooking albums, scrapbook pages, calendars, journals, and pregnancy albums. Then I stumbled across the Adobe Suite in my bid to design my own subway art home décor and suddenly I was hooked. My once “bigger and wilder” dream became even bigger and even wilder and with my limited knowledge of the Adobe Suite I started to create all the things I loved to hand craft and much much more. I starting thinking “what IF I could turn this into a business and do something that I LOVE for a living”…………………………
