Five days on the Amalfi coast of Italy, staying in a most typical Italian house in the historic Vietri del Mare and ferry-hopping to the other destinations.

The top things to do were the iconic hike Sentiero dei Degli across mountains from Agerola to Positano and the 1400 steps up from
Minori to Ravello to see the famous Villa Rufolo.

The final destination on our North Finland road trip was Ylläs, also a national park. Here, higher up it was full autumn already including a cooler weather and stronger colours both day and night.

Can warmly recommend all three autumn hike destinations we tried, Kuusamo, Pyhä and Ylläs!

Finland has 168 000 lakes of more than 500 m2 of size, one of them Lake Keitele in Central Finland. Just love these lake views, morning, day, evening and night!

Happy May day from Spain! While our own village celebrated with live music and 700 kg of sardines being served the next town Fuengirola had a parade of international residents that proudly presented their traditions and culture. Great fun to join these fantastic happenings!

Typical Finnish people, even down in Spain we have to go and find some snow❄️. So this week we went to Sierra Nevada where the slopes were still open from 2700 to 3400 m. Such long slopes, longer than any in Finland and a lot of people skiing mid-week!

In the super thin air we walked in the snow and touched it but without any proper clothing we skipped the skiing, will have to return for it. Instead we took the car again and took the road as high as you can get to hike in a place with less snow. Just fantastic!

Imagine, you can do all this just 2,5 hours away from Costa del Sol!

Right now spring time is at its best on the Costa del Sol: flowers, birdsong and green landscapes. Yesterday we took an easy Sunday drive beyond mountains to see some pueblos blancos like Setenil de las Bodegas and Zahara de la Sierra. It was like driving a whole day in a painting.

Now back on the south coast and as it's all booked we have stayed in two different places. Same hobbies, hiking, mountains and sceneries, yet most of the days we swim in these fantastic waters. 🌴Feels so good🌴!

This weekend we spent at the high altitudes of Central Gran Canaria. We hiked up and down mountains in fresh, thin mountain air and went to typical Canarian villages some of which still have many cave houses:

Next destination: four days on the south coast: sun, rocky shores and lava sand. We have been sunbathing and swimming and walking all days along the shores. Today it's time to leave, now heading to the mountains for the weekend. Wishing you all a nice weekend!

We got tired of the extreme winter weather and took a last-minute flight to the Canary Islands. The only thing we had time to arrange was to hire a car. The good side in is that no hotels, no plans gives you a lot of freedom😊.

2023 is coming to its end. Our travels this year have mostly been to the lovely Costa del Sol, a place we fell in love with so much that we bought a second home in its slopes. A place always to return to. Can't wait to get back again in 2024.

This week we went to the high altitudes of Sierra Nevada. No snow yet, still full summer, quiet and peaceful and good to walk. So many trails to choose from and so many Moorish villages to look at!

Hola from the lovely town of Ronda, bravely standing at the egde of a caldera! Like a whole row of other pueblos blancos, Ronda is just a short drive away from the resorts on the coast, a perfect day out in the mountains.

The nature reserve Torcal de Antequera is just an hour's drive from the Costa del Sol, nature art at its best where you can hike at 1000 m, all alone under clear November skies. We did it today, recommend!
