One of Fairhope’s newest restaurants is an old favorite on the Eastern Shore - Market By The Bay Fairhope ! Now located on Church Street, they’re serving up some incredible seafood dishes that you don’t want to miss.

They have one of the best seafood gumbos in town, along with an impressive lineup of po’boys and sandwiches, like the Crab Cake BLT - made with lump crab, smoked bacon, tomato, and remoulade. And don’t forget to save room for their homemade desserts!

Here’s a look at our last tour of 2024! We had guests from near and far—two couples from Fairhope and Daphne, and visitors from Minnesota, Virginia, and Mississippi.

This tour was extra special as it featured our 1,000th guest of the year! We’re thrilled to have shared the food, drink, and history of Fairhope with over 1,000 people in 2024!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year! We can’t wait to welcome even more guests to experience our amazing city in 2025. Happy New Year!

Last weekend, we loved hosting this mother-daughter duo in their tacky sweaters and holiday attire. We love making memories with our guests and their families!

Last night, the Taste of Fairhope team of tour guides joined our fellow guides from Bienville Bites Food Tour for an incredible dinner at Jesse's Restaurant, Magnolia Springs, Al!

From the perfectly cooked steaks to the incredible Oysters Jesse, Jesse’s never disappoints when it comes to serving some of the best food in South Alabama. But the highlight of the evening? A sweet surprise from the owners of Bay Breeze Cafe, Bar and Grill, who we ran into during our dinner! At the end of the night, we found out they had surprised us all with desserts! It was the perfect ending to a night full of fun, laughs and great food.

It’s moments like this that remind us how truly special the Fairhope food community is. Thank you to all of our guests and supporters for being part of this journey!

This tour was extra special! Not only did we celebrate two of our wonderful guests on their birthdays, but it was also Fairhope’s birthday! On the exact day Fairhope was founded 130 years ago, this group enjoyed delicious food and drinks, stories about our history, and beautiful weather.

Here’s to our birthday guests and to 130 years of our community’s “fair hope of success”! 🎉

We had an incredible group of 10 adventurers join us, all in Fairhope for a few days as they make their way through The Great Loop!

The Great Loop is an epic journey taken by boat around the eastern U.S. and Canada, typically covering about 6,000 miles of rivers and lakes with various stops along the way, and luckily for us, Fairhope was one of their stops!

Our guests came from New Jersey, Florida, Maryland, and even Nova Scotia! They met along the route, became friends, and are now traveling together by boat as they explore the Southeast. They were pleasantly surprised by the number of great restaurants here in Fairhope, and we loved sharing our delicious dishes and the city’s rich history with them!

We’re thrilled to announce Café Viola as the newest addition to our food tour lineup, and trust us—you’re in for a treat! Here’s what you can expect:

🦞 Crawfish Gravy & Grit Cake: Start with a cup of their famous crawfish gravy. It’s served over a grit cake made from Gouda-infused grits, making this dish both rich and unforgettable!

🍹 Weekly Cocktail Special: Cafe Viola has some of the best craft cocktails in town so they’ve been shaking things up with a new cocktail each week just for our tour guests. Our visitors have been loving these creations!

🥐 Pastry Perfection: And don’t forget, one of the highlights at Cafe Viola - the pastries by their incredible pastry chef, Maddie! These treats are so beautiful and delicious that guests have been buying them to take home and enjoy after the tour.

Café Viola is quickly becoming one of the must-visit restaurants on the Eastern Shore!

Our Haunted Cocktail Tour was an absolute hit on Friday night! 👻🍸 We had a spooky good time with thrilling ghost stories of the Eastern Shore and delicious Witches Brew! So many great memories were made, and we loved seeing everyone get into the “spirit” of things!

Then on Saturday, we welcomed a full group of 16 smiling faces to our tour. It was a day filled with amazing food, great company, and lots of laughter. We’re so thankful to everyone who joined us and made this weekend truly special!

We had an absolute blast hosting the team from Chevron for some team-building fun, 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚, on our tour! Greg, aka the “Boss Man” (yes, he even put that down in the comments), brought his crew back for another round of great food, drinks, and laughs as we explored Fairhope’s best spots.

To those on his team who couldn’t make it… don’t worry, we’ll save you a spot for next time, but we sure had a great time without you this time!

Thanks again to Greg and his team for joining us! We love being part of your team-building experience and look forward to the next one!

We were proud to represent Fairhope at a conference for tour operators in New Orleans this week! It was an amazing week full of food, history, and learning how to grow our tours. We even teamed up with other food tour operators for a delicious food tour in the French Quarter! We can’t wait to bring all the ideas we’ve learned back to Fairhope!

This wasn’t our typical food tour - this week, we had the pleasure of hosting a group in town for a conference and meetings at the beautiful Grand Hotel. We picked them up in a vintage trolley and took them on a scenic tour of Fairhope and the Eastern Shore!

We passed by stunning historic homes, explored lovely downtown Fairhope, and made a stop at Provision for coffee, food, and snacks. Then, we continued to the charming town of Magnolia Springs, showing off some of the unique and historic spots that make the Eastern Shore so special.

With our wonderful tour guide Jennifer leading the way, this group enjoyed a true taste of Southern hospitality. Thank you for joining us and letting us share our beautiful corner of the world!
