As we go about our business on this Friday at NJT, inevitably like many others, we too are reflecting on the significance of the life of The Queen.

Very, very rarely does a global community share the loss of someone who touched lives to a greater or perhaps lesser degree. It seems impossible to think of anyone else, who literally and figuratively crossed continents, crossed borders and dividing lines for generations more so than the late Queen. She genuinely was a symbol of connections and created pathways for unity between people and places. A symbol she understood and took seriously for others to benefit from in her lifetime and now beyond.

Whatever your personal views… one can always take inspiration and learn from her outlook and the life she lived. Isn’t our humanity after all the shared and common value which connects, unites us across all manner of social, national and cultural differences, countries and continents. Would we all be as free to experience these connections for ourselves without the work she did? Perhaps so. Probably not.

As such we pay our respects, to the Queen for being as committed to her work and duty and the access and pathways we probably enjoy and share today as a result. Thank you.

Move comes as the country shifts to UK green list

Travel is finally opening for double vaccinated travellers!

Finally, some fantastic news for travellers has just been announced by the UK Government – people who have had both vaccinations will no longer be required to self-isolate when returning from amber list countries.

This easing of restrictions will come into effect on the 19th of July, when all remaining Covid restrictions will be dropped.



What does this mean for you?


For those of you who have had both of your vaccinations, the options you have for summer holidays has just opened up hugely, with over 30 countries recognising the double vaccination rule. For those who haven’t yet had both vaccines, you now have the assurance of knowing you can plan and book your next holiday with confidence.

Of course, it’s important to remember that it’s not only the UK Government’s rules that need to be considered, but also the individual rules of the countries that we wish to travel to, and it’s vital we understand this before booking any holiday.
