Paul's Guitar Repair I've modeled my business in the way of the old world craftsman, where quality and artistry were not considered separate services.

When you entrust your instrument to me, you can be sure it will be treated with the utmost care. It will be returned to you in a timely fashion and performing to peak, at a fair and reasonable cost. Rarely does a guitar or bass come fully adjusted from the factory. Time, weather changes, and other changes affect the feel and sound of all stringed instruments. If your guitar or bass needs a simple

adjustment, or a full custom conversion, bring it in and get it done right the first time. No job is too big or too small. We have earned a reputation for top quality repair work, and word of mouth is our best advertising. Consequently we have people coming in from Arnprior, Pembroke, Hawkesbury, Cornwall, Montreal, and Belleville. We’ve even had clients from as far away as British Columbia, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. I’m also pleased to announce that Pauls Guitar Repair is now a dealer for Creation Audio Labs. Manufactured in Nashville Tennessee, The Redeemer Buffer Circuit is proving to be extremely successful and it’s always in stock. Check out the You-Tube video attached for more information. It's time to hear what you've been missing. If you have any questions, or you would like to come out and visit my fully renovated shop, please give me a call or send an email to set up an appointment. tel: (613) 487-9790

Now here's a sneek preview of what I'm currently working on in the background. This will be a tribute guitar to Eddie Van Halen. Lots of fun to build. My background to do list is growing, so if you have a cool project you would like me to work on, just send me a private message in Facebook.

Here's a Tanglewood Java TWJP. It's a sweet little parlour guitar that came in for an output jack tightening, a cleanup, and a battery change. I did very little work on this, but I wanted to show everyone as an example of "the beauty of wood" on a musical instrument. The back is built from three pieces, like a Martin D-35. But instead of a traditional tonewood, like rosewood or mahogany, the centerpiece is mango—a pale-colored wood with spalted figuring. The two outer pieces, also dramatically figured, are amara, which looks more like rosewood. Amara makes up the guitar’s sides as well. The top is built from solid cedar, which is a fairly conventional tonewood, but one that’s more common on nylon-string guitars and boutique steel strings. And then there are the tasteful wooden flourishes that lend an organic classiness to the instrument. Instead of the usual plastic binding, Tanglewood uses mahogany binding on its body and fretboard. There’s also a mango heel cap, and the slotted headstock lends a touch of old-world elegance. Complete eye (and ear) candy.

Here's a Godin 5th Ave I just completed. The tuners had been installed inncorrectly by a previous owner. Reinstalled tuners correctly and computer intonated. Love P90's on an archtop.

This an Epiphone Viola that I converted to a Picallo bass. Interestingly enough the zero fret height (from the factory) was incorrect so I changed it. Swapped out the ceramic cap for an oil/paper cap, lowered the action, split the intonation errors, and now it's baby butt smooth to play.

This is a test to see just how many of my old clients still look at this page. In my NEW shop I've seperated my electrical and setup section away from the dusty machines.
