Borough residents are invited to pay their respects at Hinckley’s annual Remembrance Sunday service this Sunday, 10 November.

This years’ service takes place at Argents Mead war memorial, just before 11am.

There will also be a parade from the hospital car park on Mount Road to the war memorial before the service. Following the service, there will be a parade down Castle Street, through the Market Place - where a salute will be taken - and into St Mary’s Road, where the parade will disperse.

All are welcome to attend both the service and the parades, although anyone planning to come along is respectfully asked to ensure they arrive at the memorial gardens by 10.45am.

Funding for community, voluntary and charity groups offering ‘warm welcome’ locations across Hinckley and Bosworth has been launched.

A grant of £1500, is available to help groups support what they can offer to residents and their families who are facing difficulties due to the increased cost of living.
