Project 45+(Aust0 Good News Story!!

When project 45+ was starting up I had this enquiry from a young lady who was looking to get back into the workforce on the Fraser Coast

So we worked on her resume and she started to get some interviews... a couple of disappointing bumps along the way, and today this arrived in the 'Inbox" - that just brightens the day

"Good morning Paul

Thought I would give you a quick update.

I am in my 6th week at Fraser Shores and totally enjoying it to the max. The people are lovely to work for and the staff are great."

Restart — boosting the wage subsidy for mature age job seekers Budget 2014-15

What a fantastic incentive this part of the budget will have on older workers - but there is a catch...

This incentive comes with some conditions.

1: the older worker must be registered with centre link and entitled to benefits
2: the older worker must be on those benefits for more than six months.


This really is an incentive to get older workers off the welfare system which is a laudable policy, but, it may miss the mark with providing a turn around for those who may not be eligible for benefits (partner earns more than $50,000).

What conditions do you think should be attached to this incentive ( none, probably isnt an option!)

The Government will achieve savings of $2.0 million in 2013‑14 by ceasing the Award Modernisation Process — industry grants measure announced in the 2013‑14 Budget.
