Congratulations to Thailand for doing the right thing. You join Nepal and Taiwan in giving equal rights to same-sex couples. I am hoping other countries in the region follow suit.

This was my second visit to this museum, which evokes the life and work of Salvador Dalí, a genius of Surrealism. It was guided so very fascinating. Put a euro coin in a box and it rains inside Al Capone’s car and a little umbrella way up opens. The riddle of the naked woman overlooking a field who appears as Abraham Lincoln when photographed, the stories behind almost every piece. The symmetry and science in many of his works. Trompe l’œil at its finest. Fascinating - get a guide!!!

Fascinating visit of Sapiens project at El Bulli 1846 - the world’s finest restaurant until June 2011. Our guide decided who got in! 7,000 slots for close to 2 million requests per year. The foundation studies the history and science of food preparation, catalogues the 1846 recipes and collaborates with universities and top chefs worldwide.

Fantastic show and activities in the Costa Brava

Arrived at the fabulous 5* hotel that I will call home for the next 3 nights in the Costa Brava near Girona.

Weather is sunny, breezy and delightful. 16*C. I did soak my feet in the sea (18*C) and take a walk around the property and seaside town.

Nice to see some familiar faces already.

One of the big perks of my travel work is being invited to events like this. I am grateful!

The Olympic Torch Relay has commenced ! A symbol of unity and peace, the Olympic flame spreads the spirit of the Games as it makes its way to Paris over a three-month period. From today till the 26th July, the Olympic Torch Relay will travel through historical sites and some of France’s most beautiful landscapes, featuring 10,000 torchbearers. Crafted by the joint efforts of Paris 2024, the territories involved and its official partners, the Olympic Torch Relay route will be an epic journey across France.

The Olympic flame relay will make its way to Athens to board the Belem ship and cross the Mediterranean Sea to Marseille. On the 8th May, the Olympic flame will then embark on its epic journey across France. It will be an amazing journey. Only 3 months to go before the Paris Olympic Games begin !
