CatalystGK is currently run by myself, Lee Kidman. I have an endless passion for Goalkeeping & want to provide a top quality service to ALL Goalkeepers out there. I founded CatalystGK in April 2014 & aim for it to be in full flow by September 2014. B
ackground Information:
I am 20 years old & have an endless passion for Goalkeeping. I currently play for Chatham Town FC. I have had a few loan spells at various Kent Clubs, to help aid my development in senior Football. I used to play for Dartford FC in their Academy, I applied my trade there for 2 years. Before that, I played for Erith & Belvedere in their Kent Youth Team & gained some experience through their reserve team. The first ever Football Club that I played for was Kingfisher Colts FC, but for me personally, it all started at K9 Colts, who I proudly represented from the age of 13 for 2 years (Aged 15). During my time at K9, I also trained with Leyton Orient FC's Development Scheme. General:
Goalkeeping (especially at Grass Roots Level) is neglected. There are a lack of GK Coaches around. By running this company, I am fully committed to help improve the level of Goalkeeping in every aspect that I can at any level. If that means 1-to-1 coaching sessions, providing a brand of glove you are confident in wearing or improving your knowledge of the game from a GK perspective, then so be it. Being a Goalkeeper is hard, there is no two ways about it. It is an isolated position and whether you like it or not, we're often remembered for our mistakes. This however, is a positive. Learning from our mistakes, makes us better & mentally stronger. You HAVE to have that self-belief as a Goalkeeper, you're often on your own out there, you're the last line of defence. If you have Energy & Enthusiasm to be a better Goalkeeper, alongside that self-belief I briefly mentioned above, you can go a long way. CatatlystGK is everything specific to Goalkeeping!
