Maray Apartment was originally bought by (and named after) the parents of the apartment owners, Stephanie and Neil. Sadly, their parents are no longer with us, but they did create this beautiful space for us to enjoy. While our families love visiting the apartment, Lagos and the wider Algarve, we aren’t getting to spend enough time there and so we are renting it out a little to try and help us keep hold of this fabulous place that our parents left for us to enjoy.
Maray Apartment is a lovely and very well appointed luxury apartment in Lagos, Algarve, Portugal which our family rents out.
* 2 bedrooms - one is a double ensuite and one is a twin bedroom. Sleeps 4-6. We can have a cot put in either room. There is also a sofa bed that can be made into another single/ twin/ double combination and placed in whichever room is required.
* 2 bathrooms - the ensuite and a family bathroom, a living room and kitchen.
* Balconies either end of the apartment with sun loungers, tables etc. and a shared/ communal roof terrace.
* Fully plumbed-in air conditioning units in the bedrooms.
* A Safe (though it is a very safe area and we have never had any trouble).
* Smart TV with USB access for smart devices and Portuguese and English TV channels, DVD player, stereo.
* Selection of books, games, puzzles and DVDs to borrow while you’re there.
* Dishwasher (2019 model), washing machine, microwave and 4 ring gas stove/cooker. All kitchen equipment including coffee machine and cafetiere.
* High Chair(s) can be arranged on request.
The apartment is very spacious for a Portuguese apartment.
A cleaning and laundry service can be arranged if required.
Our local manager, Carlos, will ‘Meet & Greet’ you on arrival and is also on hand to deal with any queries you should have during your stay.

Maray Apartment is less than 5-minute walk from a number of 'pay as you go' outdoor swimming pools (meaning you can still walk there and back in a towel but don't have to listen to noise from the pool and other holidaymakers when you’re relaxing at the appartment). While we can arrange a weekly pass for your stay in advance, you may prefer to 'pay as you go' and choose whether it's a pool day (or afternoon) or beach day etc. therefore saving money along the way. You can also decide which pool you prefer that day.
Lagos itself is known for its Atlantic beaches, walled old town and boat trips along the coast or to scenic rock formations and rugged cliffs.
The apartment is a 15-20 minute walk or very quick drive to lots of nearby beaches, Lagos town centre, shops, amazing restaurants and the lively but picturesque marina.
It’s also a short trip to go and explore the many nearby fishing villages and the amazing beaches and Algarve coastline with its surfing beaches, sailing, diving courses, dolphin swimming, cave exploring, kite surfing, biking, parascending and most other adventurous activities you can imagine!
Children and adults alike often can't resist the pull of the giant waterparks of Aqualand and Slide and Splash - a short drive and world of watery fun.
The Algarve is also very well known, of course, for its abundance of golf courses.
The climate of Lagos is warm all year-round, with hot summers and mild winters.
