The purpose of the Midland Yacht Club is to serve as a place for sailboat owners and crew members of the Permian Basin area of West Texas to get together.

Sailed Lake Amistad again, we sailed over 18 miles up the San Pedro arm to the Highway 277 bridge. We set anchor for the first time and practiced man-overboard drills and Hove-to maneuvers.

The Midland Yacht Club had another great sailing trip on Lake Amistad. New member Taffy Armstrong had a great time as well.
