A cello? Why a cello? You'll just have to watch this to see what I am talking about! Wow! It's been WAY too long since I've had any time to play Atomic Rob! I happened to find this amazing video from Smarter Every Day, one of my favorite Youtube channels and decided to post it for you. Enjoy and see if you can figure out why the cello does what it does.

It's been a while since I've posted anything. So sorry, I've been really busy doing Spring things! So, here's something for my fellow fans of bananas! If you are my age, you have had the pleasure of eating a nearly extinct banana that had more flavor. Something terrible happened to them though and could happen again... check this out!

This kid is awesome! More "power" to him! Even though the power he collects is actually borrowed from radio station AC waves much like crystal radios did. I love his spirit and his motive to learn the physics of power production. Truly a necessity of our time.

I know, I know... it's been a while since I've posted anything on the old ARHOS site! My most humble apologies! I have a doozie for you today! This is a video that shows just how excitable a simple (well, maybe not!) element can be! Cesium is an amazing metal! Cesium is used in atomic clocks, in photoelectric cells and as a catalyst in the hydrogenation of certain organic compounds. Cesium readily combines with oxygen and is used as a getter, a material that combines with and removes trace gases from vacuum tubes after mechanical vacuum is applied. One of the radioactive forms of cesium is formed as a nuclear fission by-product, an isotope known as cesium 137 . (Which is leaking from the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear plant disaster. along with strontium and iodine isotopes!)
