If you are waiting to visit Disney World because you want character interactions, wait no longer! It’s true, Mickey cannot give you a hug right now and Elsa isn’t signing autograph books but the characters are everywhere!

We saw more characters in the parks this time than any of our previous trips. Unscheduled parades called Character Cavalcades pop up and you don’t have to grab a spot hours in advance. I actually prefer these to the old parades.

Character dining is back as well and we had two spectacular experiences at Chef Mickey’s and Topolino’s Terrace!

Instead of a daily recap, I’ll group my pictures by theme. First up, transportation.

The Disney World Resort offers many complimentary modes of transportation. From our hotel, Coronado Springs, we could take a bus to all four parks, Disney Springs, and the water parks. As you can see from the pictures, they are doing a great job of enforcing and maintaining physical distance between parties. There is no standing and masks must be worn at all times.

The Skyliner is the most recent addition and our new family favorite! It runs to Hollywood Studios and Epcot, and it services value, moderate, and deluxe resorts.

We didn’t use the monorail or boats this trip, but they are also complimentary to all guests.

Day 1 Recap...
We’re staying at the Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort. The first picture is the view from our room 🤩
In addition to the tower, there are also the ranchos, cabanas, and casitas. Each has its own bus stop (more on transportation tomorrow!)

For dinner we met our cousins at Paradiso 37 in Disney Springs, followed by dessert at Erin McKenna’s bakery 🧁 🤤 Dining reservations are strongly recommended at this time though some walk ups are available.

And no stop at Disney Springs would be complete without a trip into Goofy’s Candy Co! 🍭 🍬

🐶 Happy National Puppy Day!

For our next trip, our sweet girl Edith will be rooming with a lovely family for the week. We’ve always boarded our pups in the past but this girl is happiest around people. 💕
