Due to the unforeseen devastation in western North Carolina we have made the painful decision to cancel Camp Unleashed in Marion, NC next week. State officials are imploring everyone to stay out of the area as a majority of roads are impassable including Interstate I-40.

We thankfully can let all of you know that our instructors and staff who live in and around Asheville are safe and are starting to piece together their lives again. Our hearts are with our friends and neighbors who have been directly impacted by this horrible event. Please consider making a donation to support the recovery efforts in western North Carolina. We believe our community of Camp Unleashed can make an impact in the area if each of us contributes a portion of our registration fees to the charity of your choice. There is a list of verified organizations local to Asheville found on www.bpr.org

We thank all of our campers and alumni for your years of support. Hug your pups for us.

To our cherished campers, their canine companions, and all enthusiasts of Camp Unleashed, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the difficult decision to forgo hosting retreats in 2025 at both our Pennsylvania and North Carolina camps.

Regrettably, due to financial and personal constraints, there is a strong likelihood that the 2024 season will mark our final year. Striving to deliver top-tier retreat experiences has been a delicate juggling act amidst our daily obligations, one we can no longer maintain.

The memories of our time at camp, our fondness for your dogs, and the lasting friendships cultivated over the past two decades, will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We know you appreciate the emotional weight of this decision, as it affects us deeply.

We still have vacancies available for our Labor Day PA Retreat. We cordially invite you to join us for a memorable weekend celebrating the final year of our dogs’ Camp Unleashed. Anticipate a rejuvenating and inspiring experience, consistent with the high standards you have come to associate with our retreats.

Let your dog ruff it one more time. In nature. Off a leash. Come join us to swim, play, learn and relax.

I just did a training for my Dremel Like a Boss membership on the Control Unleashed pattern 1-2-3. We use this pattern to help our dogs allow us to pick up and hold their feet.
