The Brenchley Eagles

TWY have asked me to pass this onto all parents involved in TWY Brenchley.

The TWY Committee are looking for volunteers to help the committee on a regular basis. The roles we need some help with are;

1) Minute Secretary,

2) Soccer Parent (Who will help recruit volunteers, make sure volunteers are inducted properly, and to represent the volunteers on the committee),

3) School liaison officer (Who will look to establish links with the local schools, and establish ways the club can support schools),

4) Kit / Equipment coordinators,

5) People to assist with registrations,

Do you know a young girl who might enjoy playing football, but never gets the chance to play.

The TWY / First class football run a free football session between 1730 and 1830 on a Wednesday evening at the Ridgewaye in Tunbridge Wells. It would be fantastic if we could encourage more girls to come along and try, even if they decide it is not the sport for them.

Hi Eagles, long time no post! Just to inform all that we are looking forward to a matchtastic weekend at Brenchley Memorial Ground, starting with the U7's at 9.30 on Saturday 5th against Kings Hill (please arrive 09.00) , followed by the U10's at 10.30 against Pembury (please arrive 10.00). Training for anyone else will take place adjacent to the main pitch at the normal time 10.00 - 11.30! Please could all coaches be on hand to work together between matches and training! Please expect a tiny bit of chaos but a lot of enjoyment! Thank you very much!

Massive Congratulations to our U6 Team at the Ridgway Tournament on Saturday. Joint 1st place with Westerham! Emily, Samuel, Archie, Lyndon, Ryan, Charlie, Ned and Mungo all played exceptionally well, making Kev and Dave VERY proud coaches. Thanks to all the parents who's support means everything in the making of a team! Well done all! X

There will be no Brenchley Eagles at the Memorial Ground until Sat 13th Feb due to boggy pitch and sink hole problems.

IMPORTANT - EAGLES SATURDAY 16TH JAN
Due to heavy rain, there has been a substantial amount of damage to the pitch, including a part of the ground which has dipped away. We have been advised by the Memorial Hall not to use the pitch for a while to avoid further destruction...

HOWEVER - We are going to inspect the pitch at 8.00am tomorrow morning and will send out an email if we think it is unsuitable for tomorrow.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR MESSAGES and let anyone else know in case you think they may not see their messages.

We may have to find an alternative location for a few weeks, which I can look into next week, but too late for tomorrow.

Go on Eagles! 11-0 today against the Ridgeway Terriers, who never gave up... But The Eagles showed what level they are at now - and how hard they have worked to get here! You should all be very proud of yourselves! 😄😄😄

Well done Eagles for putting up a very good fight at Tunbridge Wells Ridgeway today, despite losing 4-2. We had many more attempts at goal but were unlucky today. Well done to goal scorers Finlay Mackenzie and Lucas Usher, and also to Daniel, Fergus, Charlie, Harry, Ned, Alfie, Harvey and Oli C for all playing so well and with so much enthusiasm and dedication.. And that also goes for our Northern strong supporters! Great 8th man! (Let's hope we get invited back!!!!!)
