Whimz Jewelry Design Whimsical and unique jewelry designs. I have always been a collector of "stuff" and I see promise where others see junk. All my artwork are original pieces.

I have been deemed the"queen of yard sales". Wherever I live or visit, I go to yard/garage and estate sales. Most of my home is comprised of things I have found. I have done this for forty years and originally, I think I was considered odd, but now I am right on trend! (I know all the good homes on trash day). About a year ago, while out at yard sales, I found a box of very nice beads for $1.00, a

nd even though I had no idea why, I started making kind of standard earrings on posts. Following this, I quickly discovered wire work. Metals such as gold bronze, copper rose gold were so cool to work with, I became obsessed . There are no mistakes in my art. If I don"t like a piece, I will take it apart and make something different. There are no rules that I follow with my creations, which is pretty much my life philosophy. I wear all my jewelry in an athletic club pool at least 5 times a week. People are always asking "why don"t you take it off?" I want to be sure it holds up and, so far so good! I have always loved creating and for 40 years it was food. I have done restaurant, catering, but loved personal cheffing the most. I've worked for Linda Ronstadt, George Lucas, Princess Margaret, Jim Hensen and countless other luminaries. My culinary career has been a great time, but now with jewelry, it doesn't get eaten and forgotten....I love the permanence of it!
