Canoe and Brew Paddling the Susquehanna in Search of Good Beer It is not a fund-raiser, nor does it benefit any one group.

Canoe and Brew is a just-for-fun event coordinated by a group dedicated paddlers who love the river, the outdoors, and beer. We are happy to (drink beer and) build our communities through supporting local, independently-owned industry, such as breweries and river outfitters. Join us this year for one or all (six legs) of the Canoe & Brew, and pick up a Canoe & Brew T-Shirt (at cost), to check off each leg as it is completed.

Look what won River of the Year! Where should we voyage to celebrate?

The North Branch of the Susquehanna River in northeastern Pennsylvania has been voted the 2023 Pennsylvania River of the Year!

Flowing from the New York state line to Sunbury near Shikellamy State Park at the confluence with the Susquehanna River West Branch, the Susquehanna River North Branch meanders through eight Pennsylvania counties, including: Susquehanna, Bradford, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Columbia, Montour, and Northumberland.

A water trail, the Susquehanna River North Branch is widely used by paddlers, anglers, recreational boaters, and wildlife enthusiasts.
