Our first time visiting the Chelsea Flower Show⊠So many beautiful and evocative displays.
I loved âThe Choose Love Gardenâ by Jane Porter, inspired by refugee migration routes across Europe, the concept of desire lines, informal paths, and the resilience of displaced people. Linear drifts of drought, tolerant species represent how plants move with people. For many refugees, the act of growing plants, offers comfort and a sense of home. I have come away with lots of new ideas for our garden. Martin is having a slight panic attack as he is the head gardener at the Bochym! A wonderful day out đ
Charlie the peacock thought he would join the socially distanced tea party! Anni was quick to move the cake before he delved in!
Thank you for all your support.
For me personally the last couple of years have been quite a struggle. Itâs strange how one can box up and pack away emotions. From the day we bought Bochym I always thought justice would prevail, yet a couple of years ago my hopes were diminished as my faith in the law didnât rise to the occasion. We recently had a little, tiny piece of justice. One day hopefully our story will be out there.
Music and art have always been my coping mechanism. This piece is called Ascent by Ludovico Einaudi. I am self taught at the piano so I apologise if I donât give this piece the justice it deserves, but I love it and it helps me heal. I hope it helps you too.
Flowers from Cornwall for Queen Elizabeth II
Flowers from BochymâŠ. Iâve come to London with two friends. We brought flowers from Bochym to London to lay along with the many hundreds of thousands of flowers to pay our respects to Queen Elizabeth II
