Hello friends.... As we wait for folks to get back to us with more reviews from our two recent Scotland tours, we are making a push to fill up the Redcap Endeavors Presents: Germany, and ConQuest Of Mythodea, tour. We currently have two travelers from the US and three from Australia but we have two more tickets which may just have your names on them!

Our main ticket price includes a five day tour of the more historical side of Germany (Romans to Renaissance) then 5 days at the world's largest larp event, ConQuest of Mythodea with tickets, tents and intros to the game and to larping in general if you need them.

That said, we are happy to tailor the experience to you! While the last two tickets can be purchased individually, if you are able to find someone to go with you, the "Couples" ticket is not only cheaper but you also don't have to actually be a couple!

If larp just isn't your thing, we also have a reduced price ticket which only includes the tour portion of the ticket. (We can help you to set up arrangements for the larp separately but we can't offer the same value as you would receive with the tour or by doing it yourself.)

Hey friends! Flying out of Nashville, I am one of a very few people wearing a KN95 mask but no one is giving me any grief nor am I giving grief to anyone else. I don’t know them or their stories, but I don’t need to. What I do know is that in less than a week I will be sharing close quarters with 7 lovely folks who want to enjoy exploring another country and I want to do everything possible to avoid getting sick and exposing them to anything!

To my travelers: While I am not going to dictate behavior, I will ask you all to please strongly consider masking in any situation where you find yourselves in close proximity with others such as public transit and on the airplane. We can’t control every variable in the world but we can take measures to reduce our risk of contracting the cold, flu, strep throat or COVID-19 so that we can enjoy our adventure and reduce the risk of bringing an illness with us. Thanks!

We are officially two weeks out from our first Scotland Adventure tour and everyone is busy getting ready! We’ve started our group discord, sent out packing lists, shared a map or two with special information about the cities we’re visiting…. It is a very exciting time!

It is time folks! If you weren’t aware of if you’ve been on the fence about our Germany and Conquest of Mythodea adventure, now is the time to decide!

This 10 day experience (5 days touring the historic German Middle Rhein valley and Burgenstraße- Castle Road then 5 days at the world’s largest live action roleplay event) is built for less experienced travelers but can be enjoyed by seasoned travelers who don’t want to have to stress logistics! For the larp, there are options for absolute beginners with workshops and introductory quests to learn more about the world or you can just jump right in with tutorials specific to Mythodea’s cultures and combat rules if you’ve larped before! Don’t worry if you don’t have any clothes for medieval fantasy larping because all travelers will also get a 30% discount on all Burgschneider clothes and equipment. (We can discuss options for travelers who may want to do the tour but not the larp.)

To make things as easy as possible, we are happy to set up payment plans and provide assistance with flight booking to help make this more doable. We will make sure you have access to everything you need to have an incredible trip! See the comments for a link to the full itinerary!

Redcap Endeavors Presents: the Pacific Northwest Adventure (Sept 30-Oct 8th)

Come explore one of the most beautiful areas in the Contiguous United States as we experience deserts, rugged coastline, volcanic wastes, rain forests, big cities and tiny farming communities! Learn more about several Native American peoples and their relationship to their land that persists to this day. You’ll also have the opportunity to search for Cryptids among some of the largest trees in the world! Keep an eye out for Big Foot in the Olympic National Forest and Edward Cullen in Forks Washington.

This small group experience will be led by a knowledgeable guide who will make sure you have what you need to enjoy yourselves, with accommodations in a schoolhouse turned hotel, a retro futuristic motel right out of ‘60s sci-fi, a hot springs resort and even quirky accomodations in the heart of Seattle!

July 28th - August 6th

Traveling to a foreign country to experience the Largest Live action Roleplaying event in the world can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to be!

With our Conquest of Mythodea and Germany tour package, all you have to worry about is getting to Germany and we’ll take care of the rest! (We’ll even help you figure out the best way to get to Germany!)

You’ll get a taste of the Roman, Medieval and Renaissance eras of the Germany before delving into the detailed medieval fantasy world of Mythodea, all with an experienced travel/larp nerd to guide you.

If you’re new to larp, don’t worry, you’ll have access to great deals on clothing and equipment to look the part as well as an introduction to Larping and the unique world of Mythodea! With an event this large, you can have any experience you like, whether it’s just camping and hanging out in comfortable clothing or fighting in epic battles against the rotting dead and terrifying barbarians from the north!

I just renewed my TSA PreCheck Known Traveler information today from my living room.

If you travel within the US more than a couple of times a decade it is well worth the convenience! Lines are consistently shorter, I don’t have to take off my shoes or belt. I don’t have to remove my securely packed electronics (computer, cpap) from my bags before sending them to the X-ray machine! Most importantly, though…. You sometimes get to meet minor celebrities from your favorite movies from your childhoods and their modern reboots!

Redcap Endeavors Presents: Pacific Northwest Adventure (Sep 30th-Oct 8th)

Itinerary Day 7 -October 6th, 2023

Port Angeles - Hurricane Ridge - Sequim

The group will have a little time to eat breakfast at the resort, soak in the hot springs one last time or just relax in the morning before we head out. After a short drive along the north coast of Washington state, we’ll reach the waterfront town of Port Angeles where the 21st annual Dungeness Crab and Seafood festival will be in full swing. Travelers wanting to experience a full crab meal for lunch can reserve a ticket for an additional fee when they sign up for the tour. Before we stop, we’ll drive out on the Ediz hook for spectacular views of Port Angeles, the Olympic mountain and maybe even Edizgigantus, the local sea serpent!

There will be plenty to see and do at the festival (and plenty of food options including vegetarian and vegan in the area) but there is another great attraction towering over the town, Hurricane Ridge. Though the heights up to the ridge can be dizzying, the views from the top are hard to match with Port Angeles far below in one direction and the remote and imposing Olympic Mountains in the other. Hikers will have several interesting options for mild to moderate difficulty hikes while the more leisurely travelers will be able to learn more about the area at the visitor center. If we’re lucky, we may also encounter some diverse wildlife including deer and marmots who are quite used to tourists and will often let you take pictures (note: these are still wild animals and it is important to give them their space for your safety and theirs). Your guide will make 2-3 trips to and from Hurricane ridge so that those wanting a longer hike can have plenty of time and those wanting to spend more time at the crab festival can do so without missing the views on the ridge.

After everyone has had their fill of beautiful Port Angeles, your guide will transport everyone to the 7 Cedars resort and Casino owned and operated by the Jamestown S’Klallam (“Strong People” in the Salish language) people of Washington. There are several fine restaurants for people to choose from for dinner and plenty of activities including walks, shows, a golf tournament and the casino.

Though many people don’t consider themselves gamblers, it can be quite fun and reminiscent of old video game arcades to go try out the slot machines. Once everyone is settled into their rooms, your guide will present each of you with a crisp $20 bill to do with as you please and, though he’s no expert, he’ll make himself available to help travelers figure out the slot machines.
(We want everyone to enjoy themselves responsibly, so we strongly encourage everyone who chooses to play the casino games to make a plan and stick with it. Redcap Endeavors will not be responsible for any National Lampoon Vegas Vacation style shenanigans that may occur.)

Itinerary for Day 5 of Redcap Endeavors Presents: Pacific Northwest Adventure Sept 30th - October 8th 2023

Day 5 - October 4th, 2023

Astoria - Forks, WA

There will be a lot to see on the road today so travelers will want to either fill up on the hotel’s continental breakfast or grab a bite from one of the local coffee shops before we head out. Our first order of business will be to cross over the wide Columbia river to Washington State via the 4 mile long Astoria-Megler Bridge. On the other side we’ll make our first of several stops at the Chinook Middle Village Station Camp where you will learn about the history of the native Chinook people who still call this place home and their struggle for recognition from the US Government.

From there we’ll do a pass-through of Fort Columbia park, built in 1896 to help defend the entrance to the Columbia river. It’s fascinating to see the design of the historic defensive position which also offers incredible views of the Columbia, Astoria and the Pacific. From there we’ll continue north to have a simple picnic lunch in Aberdeen Washington, the hometown of iconic grunge rocker Kurt Cobain of Nirvana at a memorial park/shrine honoring him.

The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to traveling through the Olympic National forest and Olympic National Park. Though we won’t officially be looking for Bigfoot/Sasquatch, travelers will want to keep their eyes peeled near our stops at the World’s largest Sitka Spruce and Red Cedar, the Tree of Life, the Big Cedar Grove and beautiful Ruby Beach.

We’ll have to look out for other cryptids at our final destination for the day: Forks, Washington, the setting for the sparkling vampires and sexy werewolves of the Twilight Series. Both fans and haters will be enchanted by the quirky little lumber town that never asked to be made famous and by our accommodations there.

As the sun begins to set, your guild will offer an optional excursion to the town of La Push and into lands owned by the Quileute Tribe. Travelers will have plenty of dining option in Forks, La Push or, if they want to save money, each of our accommodations have kitchenettes if they prefer to make their own meals.
