After months of waiting, the day finally arrived for me to attend a ship tour on the Disney Wonder before she set sail on her 7 night cruise to Alaska. Having the opportunity to tour various cruise ships allows me to see first hand how each cruise line can match each unique guest and vacation desire. Work with a Disney Travel Specialist, such as myself, who can help design a perfect cruise and Disney vacation. If you would like more information, contact me at [email protected]
The Disney Wonder offers live shows, character greetings & deck parties.
* There is no doubt that Disney Cruise line is great for kids of all ages but not to worry, there are lots of areas on board for adults to get away for a little quiet and adult only fun.
* Adult only areas inside include Azure night club, Crown & Fin Pub and the Cadillac Lounge. Also, Palo the specialty restaurant and Cove Cafe are both adults only
Other features include:
Buena Vista Theatre- watch Disney’s first run films for free
Main Walt Disney Theatre for Disney’s Signature outstanding production shows like Frozen a Musical Spectacular
Deck parties & fireworks at sea on most cruises
Outdoor movies
* The Disney Wonder has very spacious staterooms compared to other cruise lines. A great feature that stands out is their signature split bathrooms. This is great for families getting ready all at the same time. Disney is one of the few cruise lines that has bathtubs in lots of staterooms which is a must for families with young kids.
* Outside on deck, there is a pool for all ages, a large water slide and interactive water play area for kids. There is an adult only pool which is great for any time you might not want the kids around.
* Disney has a unique feature when it comes to dining. Rather than being contained to one main dining room, they have what is called rotational dining of 3 uniquely themed restaurants. Each stateroom is given their order of restaurants for their cruise. On the Disney Wonder, they rotate to Triton’s, Tiana’s Place and Animator’s Palate. Your waiter joins the rotation so they will get to know your specific needs for your family. There are also other casual dining options if you choose.
Endless fun for the kids of all ages at Disney’s Youth Clubs:
* It’s a Small World Nursery - ages infant to 3 years
* Andy’s room contains a huge play structure with a slinky dog slide, Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab - ages 3-12
* Edge Club for tweens - ages 12-14
* The Vibe, the exclusive teen lounge - ages 14-17
Each area is full of fun things to do & the attention to detail is incredible. You might find it hard to get the kids to leave.
