At over 11,000 ft I unzipped my tent. The crisp breeze made my bones rattle even though I had five layers of clothing on, and was cocooned inside my sleeping bag. Gazing at the stars I couldn’t help but think about how we're such insignificant beings on a random planet of a random galaxy. Removing my gloves with numb, trembling fingers I set up my camera on a tripod, and managed to take a picture before the last of my battery drained out in the cold.
What has been your most unforgettable slumber in the lap of nature?
