414 climbers receive permission for climbing Mt Everest

As many as 414 people have taken permission for expediting Mount Everest or Sagarmatha, the world's highest peak, in the spring season this year.

According to the Department of Tourism, a total of 414 climbers, including 75 women and 339 men of 41 mountaineering groups have so far been permitted for the same.

The highest number of climbers (478) had obtained permission for ascent to the Mount Everest last year.

📍➡️As per the Government policies of Nepal, Manaslu Trekking is classified as a restricted area of Nepal. Since some villages in the Manaslu region shares a border with Tibet, Nepal government has declared the Manaslu Region (between Jagat and Dharapani) as a restricted to control tourism in the region. Thus, you need a special permit called a restricted area permit to trek around Manaslu Circuit.

While trekking in Nepal, we'd see a few stray dogs and we kept encountering some which seemed to be following our route for several days after leaving Namche. Heck knows what they ate or how they kept going but they were some serious mountain trekkers! Anyway I spotted this chap taking a breather while looking majestic with a typically stunning Himalayan backdrop. . .
