The Flyathlon represents a synthesis of three of the world's greatest leisure activities; trail running, fly-fishing, and craft beer. run. fish. beer.

The Flyathlon is the flagship program of the Colorado-based 501(c)(3) organization Running Rivers. Our mission as an organization is to facilitate the connection of people with healthy freshwater ecosystems through novel recreational events, educational activities and on-the-ground projects. Flyathlon events engage participants in a trail running and fly-fishing competition within a laid-back envi

ronment designed to make fishing and running accessible to all participants. Importantly, Flyathlon events include a freshwater educational component and enlist race participants to fundraise for freshwater restoration and education projects incentivized with prizes donated by sponsors. www.flyathlon.org

If you are a fan of craft beer, consider hitting one of Westbound & Down Brewing Company’s three Front Range locations (downtown, Lafayette, Idaho Springs) to pick up a four pack of Clear Cutt. Money raised with this limited-release collaboration will go towards future Greenback cutthroat trout projects via my 501c3, Running Rivers.

BTW, WB+D was recently named Top Brewery by in 5280 Magazine’s Top of the Town. (For the record, I’ve known that fact for years!)
