Bambú GIGANTE nativo en la costa nos sirvió como buenas bases en la casa principal pero primerito en la estructura del baño (outhouse).

Bamboo and natural stones are a sustainable way of construction. We mostly use the giant bamboo which is native at the coast and the local bamboo Guadua which is not easy to harvest due to it's thick thorns growing on long brenches to the ground.

We know it's been a while since our last post...
While the whole world had to go through uncertain times, we were also struggling to see a clear future. For lots of us this time has been life changing. So it happened that we were surprised by a new family member who turned our attention away from .napo for a while. Our daughter has arrived savely to this world and we are so thrilled to bring her to our little jungle paradise.
Now we can refocus again and - with our offspring by our side - return to our plans. There is still a long way to go and we welcome (back) everyone to join and make them happen!!

Since we are building metal-free we use these ancient methods for our unions: first we fix the bamboos with wooden pins and then we reinforce the unions tying a natural fiber rope around them.
