Unexpected visitors into town today! Wonderful Susan and Nancy so we had our macchiatone at Ginevra and Giulio’s as everyday! And I just finished my day tasting the wonderful meads (idromiele) with Ginevra made by King Bee: Giorgio Poeta from in the Marche. Beyond fun! I love hanging out at Pasticceria Gualtieri! #

Fish on Friday was delicious as always, and we had so much fun talking about all the wonderful people we share in common (or as Grace likes to call them “the family”!) love her! Grace was here as part of the Corriere della Sera’s “Women in Food” masterfully conceived and executed by Angela Frenda @angelafrenda BRAVISSIME!

Had the honor and pleasure of meeting the incredible talented and most authentic Calabrese I’ve ever met: Daniele Cundari. He’s a “Repentista” (from Spanish: derepente)He’s blended the traditional Calabrian poems with the metric pace of Flamenco and Gypsy styles of Granada and Andalusia creating a form of recital which has made him famous around the world. His talent is beyond belief! BRAVISSIMO! 👏 He owns the cutest little library in his home of Cuti where he cooks for visitors from all over the world plus makes amazing drinks! If you are in the area, you MUST visit!!
