Paraffin Wax Treatment for Feet

The wax, solid at room temperature, is heated to between 123 and 125 degrees in a foot bath. The feet are then submerged, either one at a time or together. After a few seconds, the feet are removed from the bath and the wax hardens slightly when it hits room temperature air. The feet are dipped three to six more times to form a thick layer of wax, and then allowed to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. The wax is then peeled or rubbed away and the used wax is discarded.

Keratin Gloves Manicure

1. Remove the old polish from nails. Trim, file, and buff the nails. Spray the nails with Sea Breeze astringent.

2. Place the Bodipure Keratin gloves on the client to moisturize the hands. Gently poke holes near the tips of the fingers of the glove. Push the tips of the fingers out of the gloves, and push back and/or trim the cuticles while the glove is on.

3. Remove the gloves and massage the hands with lotion. Remove the excess lotion with a hot towel.

4. Cleanse the nails. Apply Barielle base coat, two coats of polish, and a top coat.

Polyphenols and Flavonoids
All teas from Camellia sinensis contain antioxidant polyphenols. Antioxidants find and neutralize cell-damaging free radicals in the body. Much of tea's health benefits come from flavonoids, which are polyphenolic compounds that have antioxidant activity. However, according to LPI, flavonoids' most important contribution to health may be the ability to modulate cell-signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, proliferation, and death.

There are six subclasses of flavonoids: flavan-3-ols, anthocyanins, flavanones, flavones, flavonols, and isoflavones. Many are found in tea.

Flavonoid Content in Tea
Agricultural practices, environmental factors, ripening, storing, processing, and cooking all affect the flavonoid content in tea. This makes it difficult to determine flavonoid content at any given time; however, general amounts are available.

Method:

Coffee
Separate the egg yolk from the white and put it in an empty cup. Add 2 tablespoons of honey. Slowly add the coffee in the cup and whisk.

A Magic Sleep Remedy

Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 tsp honey
1 drop vanilla extract
6 oz milk
Method

In a small saucepan, heat the milk to warm, but not to boil. Then, remove from the heat and pour it into glass. Finally, add vanilla and honey and mix well. Drink slowly before going to sleep.

Note:

People who are lactose intolerant should simply replace the milk with a lactose free substitute, such as soy, rice or almond milk.

HOW-TO: CLEAN NAILS PROPERLY

Step one: nail scrub
If you want clean, lovely fingernails it’s an absolute must to invest in a good quality nail brush. A nail brush will scrub out the dirt from underneath your nails and attack those hard-to-reach areas where grime can build up. Always ensure you do a nail scrub in a well-lit room, using a solution of warm water and hand soap. To clean fingernails, start by scrubbing underneath your nails by holding the brush downwards and rubbing it back and forth vigorously, then move to the front of the nails, working in a circular buffing motion.

Step two: remove polish
Wet a cotton pad with some nail polish remover and use it to remove any old nail polish that may still be hanging around on your nails. For really strong healthy fingernails, you should aim to give them a break from polish once every few weeks.

Step three: soak away the day
Treat your fingernails to a soak in a bath of water with a dash of antibacterial hand wash. Be sure to only soak your nails, not your entire hand – as the soap in the solution can dry your hands out if left to soak.

Step four: Rinse and dry
After twenty minutes, rinse nails and hands under the tap, taking care to wash away all remaining hand soap before patting dry with a soft towel. Now you can give your nails a file as usual and finish with a clear protective coat of nail strengthener.
