Each day, at the Eat, Paint, Write Workshop, will be guided by a unique theme or question which acts as a common thread throughout the day's exercises ending each evening with space for sharing. Every day will flow from one teacher and lesson to the next with free time as well for guests to take advantage of the beautiful location and local art scene.. After suffering with Crohn's Disease and Takayasu Arteritis during her younger years, Virginia learned to change her lifestyle and heal through food from a cellular level up. Minton Sparks is an internationally recognized writer/performer who founded the Nashville Writing and Performance Institute in 2009. The Fellowship of Southern Writers bestowed Minton the 2011 Award for Spoken Word. She’s performed as part of the American Songbook Series at the Lincoln Center, appeared at the venerable Old Towne School of Folk Music, served as teller-in-residence at the Jonesborough National Storytelling Festival—the biggest festival of its kind—gotten invited to the prestigious Geraldine R. Tracy King is an energizing art teacher located in San Miguel. We will be working at her beautiful studio in Mexico where you will be inspired and encouraged to fully express yourself by working with colors, images and materials that resonate with you. All levels of experience are welcome. At the end of the workshop you will have at least four small paintings, with a variety of collage techniques that can be joined to make one larger painting.
