As some of may know, I do all the photography for our social media, websites and the like! So, I’ve combined my two loves - photography and plants over at Colour Paradise Greenhouses!

And this years, I’m offering fall mini shoots at Colour Paradise! We're offering 30 minute sessions, inside and outside the greenhouse!

The weather has been super unpredictable lately, so I'm excited to have an indoor and outdoor location to shoot!

Inside the greenhouse is super cozy and lush green. Wear a hat, bring a colourful blanket or sweater, bring your family, your kiddos, your sweetheart, even your pet!

And while you’re there, pick up a mum for your porch and shop their gorgeous selection of tropicals inside the greenhouse! 🍂🍁🪴🌿

Sessions are available through the week of October 16th.

It's that time of year again - Fall! And to celebrate, of course, our favourites, succulent pumpkins. This year, the pumpkins are a little more gardeny, focusing on sedums and sempervivums (Also known as Hens and Chicks) the great upside to this is the majority of the succulents can be planted right in your garden this fall after Thanksgiving has passed! Sempervivums and extremely hardy to our Southern Ontario climate and will root in any rocky/sandy soil. Be sure to plant them in an area with bright direct sunlight.

A quick sneak peek of Erin’s bridal bouquet! I loved this wild combination of tropical succulents, sempervivum, dahlias and eucalyptus. Just gorgeous. Big congrats to Erin and Justin! Wishing you all the best!

Calling all engaged couples! We’re super excited be participating in the Steckle Heritage Farm Wedding Open House this Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.

We’ll have samples bouquets, corsages, boutonnières and other lovely floral creations on display and can’t wait to chat with you about about your big day!

Steckle is a gorgeous little country oasis in the city and a beautiful place to hold your wedding - as my husband and I can attest to, having gotten married on the property coming up on 5 years ago, so the farm holds extra meaning for us.

Succulent-topped Birdhouses! These sweet seagrass birdhouses are topped with sphagnum moss and sempervivum plants (Also known as Hens and Chicks) These super tough, super hardy plants will grow right into the moss and flourish in bright light! Hang one on your deck or porch this summer. These plants perform best outside. Sphagnum moss needs dampening approximately once per week, if the birdhouse doesn't have access to rainwater.

Come fall, you can simply remove the succulents from the birdhouse and plan them in any sunny spot in your garden! They'll take root and continue to grow!

Spring has spring! Celebrating with these sweet little succulent eggs! These 2” ceramic eggs are planted with a single succulent in sphagnum moss. (Succulents grow extremely well in moss!) Water one a week by dampening the moss, place in a bright window, and enjoy!
