Beehive fences (like this one in Tsavo, Kenya) have been successful in protecting farmers’ crops from hungry elephants. In fact, over 11,000 beehives have been installed across 84 sites across Africa and Asia. But, did you know that there are more than 80 other deterrent methods to promote coexistence between people and elephants?

TEN STARS!!! This home is amazing. Everything in this home is high end, from the oooh so comfy beds, plush pillows, soft sheets, cozy comforter with duvet, plush towels, lovely body wash and lotion to the fully equipped kitchen with anything you need to cook. It's beautifully decorated. After a long day of safari's and exploring, coming home to a beautiful space makes all the difference. I've stayed in numerous rental homes in Hoedspruit, many are hollow with not alot of decor -- Little Pangolin Lodge is by far the absolute best. The outdoor shower and soaking tub are a very special treat. WiFi is strong, we streamed movies every night, no problems at all. Stay at Little Pangolin, you will be simply delighted.

Researchers - including STE’s Fritz Vollrath - have found unique properties in elephant genes which provide resistance to cancers. The elephant's p53 gene could help future research in fighting cancers in humans.

Meet Wonky Horn and her beautiful calf Milky. 🦏🦏❤️ They live in the biggest privately game reserve in S. Africa. In 2021 we paid for full security, ⛔️ put in 10 license plate recognition cameras 🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥and paid for rhino innoculations. This year? 20 motion recognition cameras with 24/7 eyes on rhinos. 👁👁 And we are inoculating all rhinos. That’s how much we love Wonky Horn and Milky and the other rhinos there.
