Short-term Let deadline for Existing Hosts: 30th September 2023.

DO NOT DELAY APPLY TODAY

Existing hosts have until 30th September 2023 to apply for a Short-term Let Licence, which will allow hosts to continue to operate until the licence is determined.

If you require a Short-term Let licence and waiting for supporting documents, we advise hosts to apply on or before the deadline of 30th September 2023 so the application can be registered. Supporting documents can be accepted later.

However, a licence will not be issued until all documents are received and the application has been fully processed.

As the deadline for existing host Short Term Let (STL) applications approaches the STL team are working hard to process the applications. Please bear with the team during this extremely busy period.

As a reminder if you are an existing short-term let host and wish to continue operating a short-term let business, then please apply for a Short-term Lets (STL) Licence before 30th September 2023. This will allow you to continue operating until your licence is determined.

From 1st October 2022, new hosts and operators cannot accept bookings until they have obtained a licence.

Once you have completed your application you will be given a reference number please ensure you take a note of this number as you may require it for further correspondence when the team reach your application.

To check for an update on your application please check the public register, this will be updated as regularly as possible.

Once you receive your temporary licence number and full licence number please ensure you have added this to any marketing material including your FREE listing on Welcome to Fife. Our systems are not connected and the onus is on owners to ensure this information is up to date and correct. If you are waiting on your number please submit pending.

Please bare with us the team will contact you as soon as they get to your application.

We will of course keep owners as up to date as we can during this time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this busy time.
