A Laser Cleaning System performs the shell ends cleaning on both wrapper heads.
To avoid shell edges contamination and damages leading to a bad welding quality as aesthetical appearance and as mechanical property and geometry of the laser welded joint, the rounding and alignment process made without touching the edges.
Drum shell positioning and locating device properly aligns the two edges ready for the Laser Welding Cycle. The device is assembled on a servo-controlled slide driven below the laser torch.
A Laser Welding Quality Control System analyses the radiation created by the interaction between laser beam and work piece, detecting process irregularities and welding mistakes.

State-of-the-art welding process offers excellent aesthetic qualities, low thermal alterations on the welded joint, guaranteeing high-speed processes.
The Robotic Laser Welding Technology has been integrated in an automatic production line to weld overlap metal sheet components of the oven cavity (wrapper, top, bottom and hooks).
Through a belt conveyor, the pre-assembled cavity is transferred into the laser working area, where a 6-axis robot handles the cavities through 2 welding jigs which are completed with a fixture and pressing system of the cavity to guarantee the correct gaps between the welding joins. These gaps must be equalized by pressing the parts together in the welding area.
Once welded, an outlet step conveyor moves the cavities to the next section of the production process.

This 4 stations press line needs only 1 operator to produce 2 models of washing machine side panels in a cycle time of 10 seconds / 2 pieces.
To guarantee the maximum production capacity according to customer’s needs, the pick-up and placing operations through all 4 presses stations are performed by a set of 5 two-axis double trolley manipulators complete with gripper plate for double piece handling.
The line is equipped with our Advanced Process Monitoring (APM) System, managed for Line Efficiency Monitoring, enable a quick analysis of the production and OEE and energy consumption data of the equipment.
The hardware solution is embedded in the main line cabinet with a set of IPC’s meeting with the state-of-art of Cybersecurity standards and IIOT technologies, and ready for the activation of the more advanced functions of APM such as Anomaly Detection.

A 5 stations press line, to produce from metal coil the front frame component, is directly connected to the assembly area, feeding the front frame completely customized.
The equipment has been integrated with a Laser Marking System to mark a DataMatrix Code (DMC) on the top side of the welded cavity. Then, a Camera Vision System reads and checks that the DMC is correct.

This full-automatic assembly line needs only 1 operator to clinch the different components of a refrigerator cabinet in a cycle time of 24 seconds / piece. The equipment has been designed to easily implement a second model.
This assembly area is directly connected to a wrapper forming line and a back panel assembly section to realize the final product that are fully designed and manufactured by our Parter Fagor Arrasate S. Coop.

The demand for process monitoring led us to develop a strong experience on a wide choice of scanning devices and inspection systems that we integrate into our lines.
In this case, a Quality Vision System has been integrated into an automatic clinching line for the production of washing machine cabinet.
A Robotic Laser Scanning System measures the critical control points. A traceability database connected to the laser marked 2D barcode of the cabinet collets all these data: the system automatically directs the faulty cabinet to the rework area; the others move to the next station of the production process.

The huge dimensions of this full automatic production line mean the equipment needs 7 operators to produce the washing machine drum with a cycle time of 22 seconds/piece.
Thanks to the integration of a second welding area, the cycle time has been reduced to 12 seconds/piece. This area is equipped with our (APM) solution, managed for Predictive Maintenance and Process Optimization.
Starting from coil, this customized production line manufactures several components, from the shell up to the front and back, to produce the complete laser welded and expanded drum.
The equipment is integrated with a QR-code marker used to check the traceability process, a seam weld inspection system to detect different defects at and beside the seam, a control system of the front curled edge, an inspection process of the back to check the presence of breaks in the most critical area, and a final automatic dimensional control station.
