to visiting Davis, West Virginia for Thanksgiving this year! We spent the long holiday weekend in a large cabin with my side of the family and it was nothing short of spectacular! We were immersed in a winter wonderland in the mountains, and we enjoyed winter hikes in Blackwater Falls State Park as well as Canaan Valley State Resort Park.

While we enjoyed sledding with the kids and playing in the snow, the ski slopes open this weekend for those who want to go skiing!

Oh, and the giant hot tub was perfect. It was so much fun to sit and relax in while watching the falling snow. Would you visit this area?

One place that we thoroughly enjoyed visiting this year was Edinburgh. Our short time was definitely NOT enough, but we got to see and do a lot in our time there.

Scotland may have stolen our hearts, and I cannot wait to go back again one day.

to Thanksgiving Day 2018 when Chris and I were wrapping up our 3-week honeymoon through Southeast Asia. We had just left the peaceful, coral reef dotted, and sandy island of Koh Lipe and were exploring the temples, the food scene, and the canals of Bangkok. Now, we're with family and trying to attempt Chef Tini's Mac n Cheese recipe!

to just a week after Thanksgiving in 2022 and going to the Christmas markets in the Alsace with my parents!

One market we absolutely loved was Colmar. The whole town was decked out in holiday decor, and the markets were selling all the roasty, toasty delights, fun souvenirs, and even had rides for the kids to enjoy.

There was also a foodie market at the Marche Gourmand which sold food from local chefs in the area. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner! I also really enjoyed the light animations along the canal at night!
