In the 1960s the UK moved to establish a new city to relieve some of the overcrowdedness near London. Milton Keynes, today's Daily Escape, was born in 1967, encompassing the existing towns of Bletchley, Stony Stratford and Wolverton. The site was deliberately located equidistant from London, Birmingham, Leicester, Oxford and Cambridge with the intention that it would be self-sustaining and eventually become a major regional center in its own right.

Andorra, today's Daily Escape, is a tiny, independent principality situated between France and Spain in the Pyrenees mountains. The Flamenco dance and music is indigenous to Andalucia and is nowhere more popular or spectacular than in Seville, today's Daily Escape. The Daily Escape is in Russia today. Minsk, capital of Belarus, is a modern city dominated by monumental Stalinist architecture. Many of its museums, theaters and other cultural attractions line Independence Avenue (Praspyekt Nyezalyezhnastsi), a wide, 15km-long thoroughfare leading to vast Independence Square. Founded in 1521, the old city of San Juan in Puerto Rico could well be the oldest part the US. The Daily Escape is in the Old City, characterized by its narrow, blue cobblestone streets, and flat roofed brick and stone buildings which date back to the 16th and 17th century—when Puerto Rico was a Spanish possession. In Pakistan, the Daily escape is at the Kirthar National Park, situated in the Kirthar range mountains in Karachi and Jamshoro District in Sindh, Pakistan. It was founded in 1974 and stretches over 3087 km², being the second largest National Park of Pakistan. No visit to Normandy France (today's Daily Escape) is complete without a visit to the battlesites at the five beaches of the D Day Landing on June 6, 1944. Well fortified German bunkers, built along the so called Atlantic Wall by Rommel, dealt heavy casualties to the Allied troops. Many of these bunkers are still relatively intact and stand as a silent testament to the carnage of that day. It is said that one German machine gun operator in one of these bunkers killed hundreds of Allied troops singlehandedly.

Lisbon's Carmelite Convent, today's Daily Escape, was founded in 1389. The Convent was severely damaged by an earthquake in 1755 in which many congregants were observing mass and were killed by the rubble. It is now a magnificent ruin and museum. At the entrance of the museum is a stone engraved with Gothic lettering, informing visitors that Pope Clement VII (1523 - 1534) granted 40 days of indulgence to "any faithful Christian" who visits this church.

Wrocław (Breslau) is a city on the Oder River in western Poland, and today's Daily Escape. It’s known for its Market Square, lined with elegant townhouses and featuring a modern fountain. Also on the square is the Gothic Old Town Hall, with its large astronomical clock. Nearby is the Panorama of Racławice, a painting depicting the 1794 battle for independence. The Centennial Hall auditorium, with its giant dome and tall spire, lies across the river.

The Daily Escape is back in the region of Antequera Spain. Fuente de Piedra (Fountain of Stone) is a typical Andalusian village on the plain of the region of Antequera, Malaga province. This town stands out for its natural setting, strong traditions and the lagoon that bears its name, listed as a nature reserve. The actual fountain (Fuente de la Piedra) which gives ts name to this town, dates from the XVIII century, and was built on an earlier fountain built by the Romans. The initial source was known by the name of Fons Divinus referring to its healing waters.

In Terni Italy, the Daily Escape is visiting The Cascata delle Marmore, a man-made waterfall created by the ancient Romans. Its total height is 550 feet, making it the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. Of its 3 sections, the top one is the tallest, at 270 ft.
