We woke up to another breathtaking winter wonderland in Asheville today—our second snow of the season! The view at our members’ inns looks like a scene from a Hallmark movie. Guests are welcomed with delicious breakfasts, hot coffee and tea to enjoy by the window, and the warm glow of crackling fireplaces. It’s the perfect holiday atmosphere in snow-dusted surroundings.

✨Gingerbread Trail of Giving

This year, the 32nd annual The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa National Gingerbread House Competition is reimagined as the Gingerbread Trail of Giving! Instead of a judged competition, over 45 stunning gingerbread creations will be displayed throughout the resort and in local businesses across Asheville.

It’s a magical way to celebrate this beloved tradition while supporting Asheville’s ongoing recovery efforts.

The trail, known as the Sugar & Spice Stroll, began this past Saturday, November 23, and runs through January 5, 2025. This is a self-guided tour showcasing these festive masterpieces. Attached is the trail map to start planning your holiday adventure!

Here is the latest update from them:
Our hearts are with the community of Western North Carolina as we rebuild after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. We are proud to call this region home. Asheville is reopening in stages, based on widespread power and water service returning in intervals. We are open and accepting reservations!
There is currently a county-wide Boil Advisory in effect while water is restored in our area, and we are providing complimentary bottled water to our guests for consumption. Please visit our FAQ page for more information on our Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.

We’re thrilled to announce that ABBA member 1899 Wright Inn & Carriage House is now open! Sheri and Chris are excited to welcome guests back.

The area is reopening in steps but Asheville Downtown (a 5-minute drive from the inn) is open and also excited to be welcoming guests to visit!

Here is their latest update:
Almost all of downtown Asheville is open and ready for business, its infrastructure having remained largely untouched by the storm. Downtown shops, restaurants, galleries, artist studios and restaurants are open—alongside our neighbors in the towns of Weaverville and Black Mountain. South Asheville and the Asheville Regional Airport are open. Biltmore Estate has reopened and is welcoming guests for a holiday season of hope and reconnection.

There are a lot of fun events coming up to check out when visiting.
