North Baldy is the third highest peak Socorro County, soaring to nearly 10,000ft elevation. It offers stunning views of the Magdalena mountains, highlighting sheer cliffs and steep ravines. The area also does not lack in history either. The route up the mountain passes by the town of Kelly, once home to 3,000 people. Now all that remains is the church and the ruins of the old mine.

I hope everyone is excited for NMTORC's trip to the top of North Baldy this Saturday!
