On this day, we did whale watching, had a nice lunch right in the port, and went to see the Mendenhall Glacier. To see these whales in their natural environment was breathtaking!

In the afternoon, we had an excursion with the ship- "Glacier Wilderness Safari." We sailed to Mud Bay, where we had a picnic snack, and then canoed and trekked to the Davidson Glacier. On our way back to the ship, we ran into some (A LOT of) sea lions! Truly an adventure!

We started our day with a nice stroll through downtown Skagway to the helicopter pad. Then, we met our pilot who gave us a fifteen minute flight over the mountains and valleys.Our pilot had a wealth of knowledge about every mountain we passed. We landed at the dog musher camp to play with the dogs and learn how to mush like a pro! This was definitely a highlight from our trip!

Another day, another two glaciers! Two park rangers also came on board to talk about the national park, the history, and the glaciers.

On this day, we spent some time at the Hubbard Glacier. Our captain got as close as possible, while slowing the engine so that we can take in our surroundings. The captain also moved the ship around every so often, so that both sides were able to see!

Our Alaska- "Voyage of the Glaciers" cruise left out of Whittier, which is a two-hour drive south of Anchorage. Luckily, there were plenty of transfer excursion options available. We took the "Glacier Scenic Train" which dropped us off right in front of our ship!

Beautiful Friendly Bonaire! 50 miles off the coast of Venezuela-Arid, desert-like with flamingos, salt mines, and a diver's paradise. Southern Caribbean cruise port of call, part of the ABC Islands. This interesting, quaint island is developing and now has a large Marriott resort. Bon Bini as they say!

A boat ride down the Thames-The Thames Barrier is very interesting as we learned how it keeps London from being flooded from the North Sea. The O2 is pictured here in Greenwich, where people can walk on top of this dome along a path. Also pictured is the Emirates Air Line cable cars high above and crossing the Thames.

Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is a famous rope bridge near Ballintoy in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. We went here on a stop in Belfast. The bridge is narrow, and after you cross one way, you have to turn around and cross again to go back! Traveling with an Ireland land tour or by cruise ship, this is a place you just have to experience!

Ever read the book or watched the movie "Guernsey and the Potato Peel Society"? Filmed here and the novel is all about this quaint, historical place. Germans build underground tunnels and underground hospital here during WWII. This is a port stop on some cruises.
