One of the neatest experiences that I've had at WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort was at DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM® Theme Park on KILIMANJARO SAFARIS®. The lions came out to their rocks and roared. What I learned that day is that their roar isn't what we think of typically. It's more of a gruff that gets louder.

So my tip is to visit this ride earlier in the morning when the animals are just coming out to their rock. Maybe you'll get a roar too!

Fun Fact: The lions' rocks are heated so that they will want to come out further in be in better view for the guests. Also, while it doesn't look like there is a barrier between you and the animals. There are when it comes to animals like the lions. It's just so well done that you don't know what it is or where it is.

When do I need to book my trip?

This is one of the most common questions that I get. Well, that really depends. Disney Destinations require planning. I suggest booking at least 6 months in advance.

If you are looking at Spring or Summer 2024 now is the time to book.

Happy Birthday to Me!

It's my birthday month and I'd thought I'd gift you some tips and tricks of travel throughout this month.

Tip #1: Get the travel insurance. It doesn't matter where you are going or for how long you likely can get trip insurance. Do it!

Travel insurance is designed to protect you from financial loss when traveling. Often travel insurance covers baggage delays or loss of baggage, missed connections, trip delay or trip cancellation. Read your policy carefully to see what is and is not covered.

I, personally, will not travel without travel insurance. Traveling is a financial investment and you want to protect your investments.
