The Andean Condor, considered to be a cultural and natural heritage of South America. It is a scavenger bird and given its huge wing span (up to 3 meters), tend to live in windy areas, where they can plan on air currents without great effort. The live in mountainous areas, but also near the coasts, where sea breezes abound, and even in deserts with strong thermal air currents. The Inca culture had a sacred trinity, where the condor represented the sky and was a “messenger of the Gods”, flying to the upper levels of the religious world to take the prayers to the Gods.
