A Call to Service, St Cloud Diocese

It is with sadness and regret that I have to inform you that A Call to Service 2020 has been canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many conversations occurred on how this event could occur this year and the ultimate outcome is that we could not come up with a way experience the week in a way that was safe for all. We wish safety and perseverance as we trust God's plan during this unprecedented time and are excited for A Call to Service 2021.

Great final day at the Service Sites and powerful prayer time with Reconciliation, Eucharitic chapel and individual reflection. Our young people took it very seriously. The night
concluded with Root beer floats. What an awesome group of youth.

Fr. Roger Thoennes, Parochial-vicar of the the tri-parishes of: St. Wendeline in Luxemburg, Holy Cross in Pearl Lake, Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Rockville passed away unexpectedly last evening. Fr. Roger was a gentle and peaceful man who recently celebrated 25 years as a priest. We are grateful for his service, especially through many youth ministry events and in our Service Learning Retreat, "A Call to Service" over several years. We are grateful for his witness and beautiful dedication to the Lord. Fr. Roger will be dearly missed.
