Magical Family Vacation Day 7!

We were sad to leave the Disney Fantasy, but excited that our adventure continued to Walt Disney World. Saratoga Springs will be our home for the next few nights. I love all of the horse art at this resort!

Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived so we popped over to Disney Springs for lunch at the Polite Pig and desserts to-go from Amorette’s. In between lunch abd dessert we received the text that our room was ready.

We went to Morimoto’s for dinner. The food was delicious! Afterwards the kids went shopping and exploring in Disney Springs and the parents snuck off to Magic Kingdom.

We arrived at Magic Kingdom around 7:30 and the park closed at 10:00. We were able to pack a lot in during that time:
- Dole Whip
- Jingle Cruise
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Watched the fireworks while walking around the park
- Shopping
- Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Haunted Mansion

Day 8 will be our family adventures at EPCOT 🎉

Magical Family Vacation Day 6!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
This was supposed to be our Castaway Cay day, but the winds and strong current kept us from being able to dock safely. The Captain tried 4 times (starting at 7:00am and ending at 11:30am). While it was disappointing, the crew stepped up and had lots of great activities on board. And the bonus - steamed shrimp and crab legs for lunch 😉

Oh! It was Mickey Churro Waffle Day! You can only get them one morning a sailing with Disney Cruise Lines and at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom.

We spent time playing chess, which turned into playing trivia too. It was a fun surprise when the Cast Member showed up with Ocean Trivia. We missed the medals by two questions.

We spent time at the adult pool areas and soaked in some sun.

We also did shopping, napping, BINGO, and I got my blowout 😉

Dinner was at Animator’s Palate! I love ending our cruise here. It was hard to say goodbye to our service team!

Tomorrow we disembark and head to Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort ✨

Magical Family Vacation Day 5!

Today was our day to explore Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! We dipped our toes the ocean, walked the beach, and relaxed with some beverages. We also joined the Rush! - a celebration with dancing and music. Lunch on the island was yummy too!

I had a massage and facial before dinner. It was the perfect way to wrap up a day in the sand and kick off a romantic evening.

It was also Pirate Night! The adults went to Palo for dinner and the kids went to their main dining location (Royal Court). Palo was amazing, as usual 😉

The kids enjoyed watching the pirate deck party and fireworks! We enjoyed relaxing in Ooh LaLa with a beverage while listening to music.

Tomorrow is our last full day on the cruise ✨

Magical Family Vacation Day 4!

Today was a sea day, so lots of time to explore the Disney Fantasy and have some rest time too!

We kicked off the day with breakfast at Royal Court. I love the peanut butter and jelly pancakes!

Them it was spa day for the kids. My daughter got a manicure, and my son did a facial, shave, and haircut. They both enjoyed their treatments.

The boys took time to play chess. Pluto stopped by to watch their game for a minute before scampering off to meet some guests. They also went to the sport simulator and had a great time!

The girls went to the 1820 smoothie meet up and made a few new friends. They even scheduled times to meet up with their new friends.

Frozen the musical was offered three times today. We went to the second showing and enjoyed the show. Of course Olaf makes it magical!

Dinner was at at Royal Garden and is my favorite menu! Our server has been one of the best! We were talking today about how the service on this sailing has been one of the best, if not the best we’ve experienced with Disney Cruise Lines.

We also hit Happy Hour at Ooh La Las! They had fun beverages and there was a violin player during our time in the bar.

Day 5 will be at Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Magical Family Vacation Day 3!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Hello Disney Fantasy! We decided to change things up and take our time heading to the port to avoid the crowds. We arrived around 12:30 with no wait for check-in and walked right on the Fantasy. Our first line was waiting about 5 minutes to get into Animator’s Palate. Lunch was good and again we enjoyed eating there to avoid the crowds at the buffet.

Our room was ready as soon as lunch was finished. We love our veranda! I know there will be many hours spent enjoying our time there.

I had a hair treatment and the kids (adult kids) explored the fitness center. Senses Spa always does a great job with their offerings!

Dinner was at Enchanted Garden and we had our normal favorite foods there. And yes, for me that included a side of scallops and for my son a second steak 😉. We also enjoyed learning how to play Exploding Kittens at dinner.

If you’re planning a Disneyland trip, add this to your list. And yes, it’s worth the hype!

❓What is it? Toffee enrobed in white chocolate coating, covered in cinnamon churro sugar. It’s delicious.
📍You can find this at several places at the Disneyland resort. We found it at Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff in Disney California Adventure for $8.29. It’s large and shareable!

Magical Family Vacation Day 2!

This day was mostly about food and catching up on rest from the late night flight 😉 We kicked off the morning with the breakfast that’s included with your stay at the Drury. It’s a nice buffet with breads, cereals, breakfast potatoes, eggs, pancakes, sausage, and fruits.

For lunch we hopped over to Beaches and Cream. I love the No Way Jose! And time at the Beach Club is always wonderful ✨

After lunch my husband and I stopped by Disney Springs for drinks at the Hangar Bar.

We swung by the airport to pick up our additional traveler before heading to dinner at Narcoossee’s. Dinner was fantastic as always 😉 Oh! And the gingerbread house is almost finished at the Grand Floridian! This will be the 25th anniversary for their gingerbread house. And yes, they sell yummy holiday treats from the gingerbread house when it opens ✨

Day 3 will be the day we get on the Disney Fantasy! 🎉

Magical Family Vacation Day 1!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Today was our travel day, so no fun Disney magic yet 😉. We picked an evening flight so our youngest could attend school today. This means we landed at midnight - we are tired! 🥹

We are staying two nights at the Drury Plaza near Disney Springs. We prefer staying on-site, but the Drury asked us to check them out for our clients so we thought this would be good timing for that stay. Since we arrived around 1am we have not had a chance to get a feel of the hotel. Our room is huge (we are in a king suite with a view), with a living room and separate bedroom. The decor is pretty standard for a hotel room. We are looking forward to the breakfast that’s included, as well as the heavy snacks later this evening.

Our day two highlights are:
- lunch at Beaches and Cream
- dinner at Narcoossee’s

Where are we now? ✨

Magical Family Vacation Day 1 (Wednesday)! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ We had a late night flight and arrived around 8:30pm to Universal’s Portofino Bay hotel. This will be our home for two nights. Our room is amazing! We have a Despicable Me Kids Suite! Most of the Universal resorts have a kids suite option with different themes (ex Royal Pacifico’s kids suites are Jurassic Park themed). We love the space and that the exit for the kids’ room is through the adults’ room (great for keeping track of busy/excited kids and teens). Tomorrow we have an early morning at Islands of Adventure to ride Hagrid’s Motorbikes!

Secret Magical Stateroom! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ As promised - here is a video of our stateroom! There are only two like this on the Disney Wish (6696 and 6196). It’s considered a 4E stateroom, but has a bedroom and living room separated by a door. I don’t talk in the video, so let me walk you through quickly: - it has a regular (large) closet and safe. - single sleeper coach and pull down single bunk (room sleeps 4) - living room with desk and cooler drawer - sliding door to the long narrow veranda - hallway with split bathroom (one has toilet and sink, other with sink and tub/shower) - door (let me say that again - door) to the main bedroom - main bedroom with an additional closet and another sliding door to the veranda - narrow but long wrap around veranda with seating areas - you can see Rapunzel when you look down and we are on the same floor as the flag This room is amazing! If you would like to stay in one of these I suggest booking the day they open up new itineraries.
