Guna Yala (San Blas) is a matrilineal society. The women control the money and the husbands move into the women’s family compound. Gunas do not marry at a fixed age but rather when they are considered mature enough; Often with the women choosing the husbands.

Most gunas live to old age in perfect health. Occasionally western scientists come to study why gunas are unaffected by most modern diseases. As if pristine environment and lack of stress were not obvious enough cause…

It was a pleasure to meet at this guna woman in Tubuala island… How old do you think is she??? .
