I’ve got my grandson, Bryce, on his first multi-day snowboarding trip. Beech Mountain yesterday, Sugar today. When we finished yesterday he said to me, “Papa, this is the most fun I’ve had in my whole life!”

ASS Club @ Sugar Mountain 3/7/22. We got separated this day so I only got a couple pics of me and Brian together. This was just his 2nd time snowboarding and he did great! As you can see in the pics, conditions were less than optimal. Temps in low 60’s and snow was wet/slushy. But we had fun, and of course enjoyed some good beer and food. (At The Bear Den @ Lowe’s Foods. Wings at Bayou Smokehouse - too hot to be listed on the menu. They call them “Are You Sure?”. Parts of me were not happy about my decision the next day. 😂)

I will be at Sugar Mountain Monday and probably Beech Mountain on Tuesday. Anyone interested in a day trip let me know. I will be booking my room tomorrow morning.

Conditions are getting good. Sugar and Beech are making snow on all of their unopened slopes and with natural snow in the forecast starting tomorrow next week should be awesome.

I am doing a day trip Monday 1/27 and possibly staying overnight and snowboarding Tuesday also.

Marty And I are doing a day trip on Friday 2/7 most likely to Cataloochee.
