👉🏼How Wander Woman Travel Club came to be:
I started my travel business six years ago after retiring as an elementary principal. As my business grew, I had many women reach out to ask if I ever offered group trips that included solo travelers. I loved this idea 💜!!

I want every woman (regardless of the season of life she finds herself) to be able to TRAVEL and EXPLORE the world. AND... What could be BETTER than doing this with other women who love to travel!? Special friendships and bonds form in a group of women traveling, laughing, talking, and experiencing new places together ❣️.

In 2022, I sent out information about Wander Woman via FaceBook, expecting about 50 women to join and now there are over 800 wAnderful women in our little travel club, ranging from 20-80 years old. AMAZING!!

And now, I am on a MISSION to make travel DREAMS a REALITY for my travel sisters 👩‍❤️‍👩👩🏼‍❤️‍👩🏼.

Some ladies sign up for Wander Woman because they are ready to start traveling ASAP and some are just dipping their toes into the idea of traveling solo. Whatever the reason, this group is here to inspire and lift each other up as we navigate this big beautiful world 🌎 together.

In 2025, our group trips will be ITALY(Rome and the Amalfi Coast) in June and NEW YORK 🗽 (including a Broadway Show and the Rockettes) in December.

My Story #whitehousewanderer

Hi there fellow wanderers and travelers! My name is Lori Whitehouse and in May 2018, I retired as an elementary school principal after 30 years in education. With retirement came the question- How do I want to spend my time during retirment? Where will I focus my energy during this next chapter of life?

Thanks to a book I read by Matthew Kelly, Perfectly Yourself. I began to ask myself... what am I truly passionate about? Where could I best use my creative energy, my thirst for knowledge, my organizational skills, my administrative background, and of course my love for travel? At the time I was working with a good friend, and Travel Agent, to book a European River Cruise for our 30th Anniversary. That is when this tiny seed of a career in Travel began to grow. I loved the idea of working with others to help them plan their dream vacation and check places of their Bucket List.

Many people, who know about my new career, ask me if people still use Travel Agents. My answer is ABSOLUTELY! In my first year, I booked over 100 trips for other people- cruises, all-inclusives, honeymoons, guided tours, private tours, Hawaii, Alaska, Caribbean, Europe, Disney. It has been such a blessing to play a small part in ensuring that others have a perfect and stress free vacation.

Yes- you can get online and search for hours on end to find your vacation. But, let’s be honest- in our technology saturated society- who has time? How do you narrow it down when there are an infinite number of options? How do you know what all is included? Who do you go to if you have questions? I know people who have booked a trip on a “do it yourself” vacation site, only to have something go terribly wrong. When this happens, they quickly find out that it’s very hard to get in touch with a real person who truly cares about their vacation dilemma.
