📍Cairns - what a treat it was! We had Nanny, Poppy and Aunty Heid come and surprise the kids for a long weekend visit. It was soo good to see family! Sure does make it hard to keep going now. Cairns was great! Great place for a holiday, to give the car some TLC and to enjoy the rain… again… 🙄
New brakes and a wheel alignment ready for our trip west! Another awesome cairns business! Thanks NWA!

for the win! We finally got to see some crocs in the wild! They truly are amazing and soo big! Elsie: ‘how do you know they are real mum?’ Good question Elsie!
📍Daintree Beach Resort - the perfect place to stop and slow down! Just what we needed. Right on the beach, but also in the rainforest- we loved it here!
📍Mossman Gorge - the best gorge walk we have done so far! The rainforest loop walk was awesome and both kids pretty much walked the entire 3.5 or so k’s! A must do if you are in this area.
Our new favorite! bringing in the goods for chilling around camp, or helping with the cleaning mood, or even on drive days! Some amazing lyrics in his songs!
So far the big girl has survived the Oodnadatta track, Mereenie Loop and Cape York plus many more dirt roads in between! She finally got some attention today after a solid 2 months!

Looks like it not always sunshine and butterflies on the road! 😩 we made it to the tip and back and just as we are on our way out… bang!

📍Alau Beach Campground - Cape York. Wow!!! We got a top spot right on the beach and absolutely loved our stay! We spotted sharks and rays but no crocs! 🐊 🦈
Check this one out… it’s pitch black outside but we snapped a photo through the skylight and it looks like daytime but with the stars out! 🌟 and thats the moon not the sun. 🌚
📍Finke Dessert Race - what an awesome experience!! Another one ticked off the bucket list!
📍 Kings Canyon - unfortunately the 6km Rim Walk was a bit out of reach for the little legs in our fam but the 2km walk was achievable! Beautiful Sunset over the Canyon too! And we had an encounter with a scorpion! 😬
When you are surrounded by dirt, why not make a mud pie! Delicious!!

📍Port Germein - Australia’s longest timber jetty. Pretty much just this, and an epic sunset!!
📍Parham - just a lonely beach covered in tiny little shells with a massive tide! But a day trip to Adelaide Gaol makes up for the lack of photos!
Making friends wherever we go! That $5 face painting kit sure has come in handy! 🎨
📍Mannum - a town recovering from a flood. So devastating to see. But so much beauty right on the Murray River!
Yum! Delicious! Scrumptious! This is pure heart warming food!! (For me anyway!) supporting local business along the way.
📍Naracoorte - an unexpected sleep over. Naracoorte Caves are amazing!!! A must see if you are anywhere near them.
📍Halls Gap - better than I remember!! Such a stunning place! Everywhere you look there are amazing views! We stayed at the Breeze Caravan Park which is literally right in the centre of town and at the base of all the walks. Thanks to and for coming with us! 🍦🍕🥧 - all the good things here too!
For me this is what travelling our beautiful country is all about! Elsie helping me cook dinner on a freezing cold night!
Anzac Day - being in Ballarat made it extra special this year. 🌹
Celebrating Alvie’s 2nd birthday (a little early) with our Ballarat Family! An excellent day to fill our hearts with love from Family we don’t see all that often. ☺️❤️

Getting some miles under the belt on these bikes! Elsie is almost at the stage of taking training wheels off and Alvie is now actually starting to glide along and not just walk with a bike between his legs! 😂
If you’re ever in Ballarat and need to get any mechanical work done on your car go to !!! They got me in today at very short notice and were bloody awesome to deal with! And thanks to Ryan .qld for comforting me as usual ❤️ps the BT is fine.

🍽️ As long as we have baked beans in the van - then Alvie is set!! He would have them for breakfast lunch and dinner if he could! Beats the no dinner strike he is on! 🤦🏻♀️
📍Jamieson - a nice little stop in the bush. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful but so many 🐝’s and one very unwelcome visitor!!! 🕷️ (cue Alvie with the blower to scare him away!!) Just one night thanks!
📍Mansfield- you were an absolute treat! The generosity of new family members is heart warming! Thanks to and her amazing parents for letting us use their home as our base over Easter. We had a ball exploring Mansfield and it’s surroundings!
